As we’ve been discussing all day, far-left Rep. Maxine Waters encouraged the BLM crowd this weekend to get even more “confrontational” if there was not a guilty verdict in the George Floyd trial.
As fate would have it, those very remarks may have given the Derek Chauvin’s defense team grounds for overturning any guilty conviction. This is not my opinion, this is the opinion of Judge Cahill himself.
This discussion began when defense attorney Eric Nelson raised concerns about the jury’s exposure to the threats made by Rep. Waters. Nelson argued that remarks like these were the reason he wanted the jury sequestered from the beginning of the trial.
Judge Cahill responded by admitting that Waters’ remarks may have given them grounds to overturn any guilty conviction on appeal.
“I will give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned,” he said.
