Since they discovered that President Trump’s approval ratings were climbing thanks to his daily coronavirus briefings, the Leftist ‘mainstream media’ networks have been either mulling with the notion of selectively airing them or disregarding them altogether.
CNN has been one of the worst offenders, along with MSNBC. A week ago, both networks decided not to air all of the briefings, which then, of course, gave them the opportunity to cherry-pick the briefings for content they could use to spin their own anti-Trump narrative.
The media industry loved the idea because, of course, ‘the media industry’ is really nothing more than the Democratic Party’s propaganda division.
VOTE NOW: Should Trump punish China for lying about Coronavirus cases?
Well, the leader of the president’s coronavirus task force, Vice President Mike Pence, has made a decision of his own: No task force members are permitted to appear on CNN unless or until the network begins airing all of the president’s briefings.
CNN itself reported the development:

Pence’s office, which is responsible for booking the officials on networks during the pandemic, said it will only allow experts such as Dr. Deborah Birx or Dr. Anthony Fauci to appear on CNN if the network televises the portion of the White House briefings that includes the vice president and other coronavirus task force members. …
After Trump leaves the podium, CNN frequently cuts out of the White House briefing to discuss and fact-check what the President had said. A CNN executive said that the network usually returns to such programming because of the extensive length of the full briefing that includes Pence, which can run in excess of two hours.
“When you guys cover the briefings with the health officials then you can expect them back on your air,” a spokesperson for the vice president told the network.
Network media personalities continue to stump for cutting away from Trump, especially, during the briefings.
But the fact is, most of the task force’s top health officials have become regular fixtures on the networks, including CNN. One of the most requested members is the task force’s top health adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He has participated in five CNN town hall events, which featured hosts Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

Other MSNBC hosts have similar views as Scarborough.
“If it were up to me, and it’s not, I would stop putting those briefings on live TV,” said Rachel Maddow recently. “Not out of spite, but because it’s misinformation. If the president does end up saying anything true, you can run it as tape. But if he keeps lying like he has been every day on stuff this important, we should, all of us should stop broadcasting it. Honestly, it’s going to cost lives.”
