Most of President Donald Trump’s first term has been consumed by fake scandals and phony investigations based on fabricated narratives like “Russian collusion.”

But unfortunately, despite the fakery concocted by Deep State schmucks during the Obama administration, there were some very real consequences to those witch-hunt probes, including prosecutions and convictions.

One of the earliest Trump figures caught up in the collusion hoax was an early supporter of the president’s campaign and his first national security adviser, retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

You recall, no doubt, that Flynn pleaded guilty in December 2017 to one count of lying to the FBI, less than a year into the president’s term, after he was targeted by the very partisan prosecutors hired by the very compromised Robert Mueller.

In the months and years that followed, it became increasingly clear that, one, Flynn didn’t really ‘lie’ to the FBI; two, he never even realized he was being interrogated as a criminal suspect several months earlier during the Trump transition; and three, he pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate with Mueller’s Democrat donor prosecutors because he didn’t want his son — a partner in an international consulting business — caught up in legal trouble.

Well, it’s taken a couple of years, a new legal team, and all of his money, but it now looks like Flynn is set to be exonerated.

As noted by Fox News analyst Gregg Jarrett:

New court documents finally handed over to Flynn’s lawyer contain exculpatory evidence that has been long sought, yet concealed until now. The charge against him should be dismissed.

Then, he should sue the very people and government that persecuted him under the pretext of a legitimate prosecution.

The unvarnished truth is that the retired Army Lt. Gen. and former National Security Adviser never did anything wrong and committed no crimes. He was set-up by unscrupulous FBI officials, then relentlessly pursued by Mueller’s team of overzealous prosecutors who were desperate to show that President Trump and his campaign colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.

Flynn’s lawyer, former U.S. Attorney Sydney Powell — who is well aware of Justice Department, FBI, and Deep State malfeasance, had been busy filing cases seeking the evidence she and her client knew would clear him of his charge.

And while this new evidence remains sealed, Powell noted in a court filing on Monday, “This afternoon, the government produced to Mr. Flynn stunning Brady evidence that proves Mr. Flynn’s allegations of having been deliberately set up and framed by corrupt agents at the top of the FBI.  The government deliberately suppressed this evidence from the inception of this prosecution —knowing there was no crime by Mr. Flynn.”

Jarrett notes that the original case against Flynn was part of a plan devised by then-FBI Director James Comey and his then-deputy, Andrew McCabe, under the fake pretense of the Logan Act — a late 1700s-era law that criminalizes unauthorized negotiations by American citizens with foreign governments that have disputes with the U.S.

The entire case against Flynn was built upon a conversation he had in December 2016, during the transition phase, with then-Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak, in which Flynn discussed foreign policy related to the incoming administration. There was nothing wrong about it; such discussions are common among foreign government officials and incoming administrations.

The fact that Flynn has been put through the ringer, legal and otherwise, is an abomination. But now it also appears as though the people who did this to him may be in legal jeopardy as well, as Jarrett notes.

“The charge against Flynn should be dismissed, allowing him to seek redress in civil court.  Moreover, U.S. Attorney John Durham should consider filing charges if the evidence shows that government officials breached their duty to uphold the law and abused their power to prosecute an innocent man,” Jarrett noted.
