Trump campaign officials announced Wednesday that they would immediately file for a recount in the state of Wisconsin, alleging irregularities that have improperly put Democratic rival Joe Biden up more than 20,000 votes.

“Despite ridiculous public polling used as a voter suppression tactic, Wisconsin has been a razor thin race as we always knew that it would be,” campaign manager Bill Stepien wrote in a statement.

“There have been reports of irregularities in several Wisconsin counties which raise serious doubts about the validity of the results. The President is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so.”

The Daily Caller adds:

The campaign’s statement came just one hour after Wisconsin election officials announced that former Vice President Joe Biden held a roughly 20,000-vote lead over Trump after “all of the ballots” had been counted.

It should be noted that though his margin of victory in 2016 was small enough to trigger a recount in the state, a Trump-supporting super PAC filed a suit blocking recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Based on the results tabulated Tuesday and Wednesday morning, Trump would need to win two of the aforementioned states, plus Georgia and North Carolina, to secure reelection.

It should be noted that President Trump has been predicting for months there would be major voting problems tied to the mass of mail-in ballots many states, including Wisconsin, chose to send out this year, ostensibly to protect people from the COVID-19 pandemic.

It should also be noted that the biggest voting changes this year occurred in Democrat-run states, pushed by Democrats and Democrat-aligned groups, for the purpose of (the president believes) committing massive vote fraud.

Now, to be fair and clear, there is no evidence yet that vote fraud has occurred. That said, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports:

Biden overtook Trump in the early morning hours when the City of Milwaukee finally reported its roughly 170,000 absentee votes, which were overwhelmingly Democratic. Then late returns from Green Bay and the city of Kenosha added to his slender lead.

Trump had nurtured a lead of more than 100,000 votes before that.

We’re already seeing a pattern here.

As we reported, the Trump campaign has also filed suit in neighboring Michigan after tens of thousands of ballots ‘suddenly appeared’ in the state overnight after the president built a comfortable lead.

The Trump campaign said:

“As votes in Michigan continue to be counted, the presidential race in the state remains extremely tight as we always knew it would be. President Trump’s campaign has not been provided with meaningful access to numerous counting locations to observe the opening of ballots and the counting proves, as guaranteed by Michigan law. We have filed suit today in the Michigan court of claims to halt counting until meaningful access has been granted. We also demand to review those ballots which were opened and counted while we did not have meaningful access. President Trump is committed to ensuring that all legal votes are counted in Michigan and everywhere else.”
