You have to give the Leftists in the ‘pundit’ network media credit: They have a penchant for focusing on exactly the wrong things they believe are important to the health and well-being of a sustainable republic.

During his Tuesday evening home broadcast, CNN hack Chris “Fredo” Cuomo blasted Vice President Mike Pence for failing to wear a mask during his visit to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota — as though that was the most important thing to have happened throughout the day.

Actually, a significant part of the vice president’s base thinks Fredo Cuomo is stupid, but that’s beside the point. Then again, when virtually no one watches your show, you can pretty much say anything you want and it’s like yelling in the middle of a forest.

In any event, VP Pence defended his decision, which in and of itself is bad enough given that the man no doubt has much more important things to do.

The Hill reported:

Vice President Pence on Tuesday defended his decision not to wear a face covering during a visit to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, despite the facility’s policy requiring all visitors to have one.

The vice president said he was following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, which say face coverings are intended to prevent those who may have the virus but are asymptomatic from spreading it to others.

“As Vice President of the United States I’m tested for the coronavirus on a regular basis, and everyone who is around me is tested for the coronavirus,” the vice president said.

“And since I don’t have the coronavirus, I thought it’d be a good opportunity for me to be here, to be able to speak to these researchers, these incredible health care personnel, and look them in the eye and say thank you,” he continued.

A journalist should know these things, right?

In any event, that’s what the story should have been about — how the head of President Donald Trump’s coronavirus response task force is advancing our base of knowledge about COVID-19, the pandemic, and the progress our country is making against the outbreak.

But no. It’s Pence’s lack of a mask that is more important.

However, since we’re hyper-focusing on the inane, how much time did Fredo give to the rank hypocrisy demonstrated (again) by his mayor, Bill de Blasio, who was busted on video by a city resident for violating his own stay-at-home order?

As the New York Post reported, de Blasio and his wife were seen walking through a crowded park — okay, with a mask — while they were berated by a local who called their behavior “selfish.”

“Seriously, you guys have a park. You live in the middle of a park. You don’t need to non-essentially travel to Brooklyn,” Twitter user Darren Goldner says, referencing Carl Schurz Park near Gracie Mansion, in a clip posted to Twitter Saturday.

The Post adds:

It’s not the first time de Blasio and McCray have been spotted walking in Prospect Park since the coronavirus pandemic started.

Before non-essential businesses like gyms were ordered closed amid the coronavirus crisis, de Blasio regularly made the journey in an SUV motorcade to the nearby Park Slope YMCA from Gracie Mansion.

How much air time from his living room did the CNN huckster give this blatant hypocrisy?

None.

But what do we expect from a guy who videoed himself ‘rising from his basement for the first time after having coronavirus’ — when he was spotted outside with his family a week earlier, where he got into it with a bicyclist?

Absolutely nothing.
