Remember the Kentucky youngster who was confronted by Native American ‘activist’ Nathan Phillips in Washington, D.C., early last year as he and his Catholic school friends visited the Lincoln Memorial?

Yeah, that kid, Nicolas Sandmann, the same youth who was slandered and smeared so badly by the disgusting Democrat propagandists in the media he sued them (and has settled with a few of the outlets already).

The things a kid wearing a MAGA hat will make unhinged Leftists say and do.

In any event, Sandmann has a new gig: Staff on board Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s reelection campaign.

The Daily Caller reports:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s reelection campaign has hired former Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann as a grassroots director, Sandmann announced Friday on Twitter.

Sandmann broke onto the national scene following a viral filmed encounter between himself and Native American protesters which was widely misrepresented by the media. Sandmann delivered an address to the Republican National Convention earlier this week, and is currently litigating a number of lawsuits against news organizations that he says nearly ruined his life.

Sandmann’s Twitter biography now lists him as a grassroots director for Team Mitch.

Sandmann addressed the Republican National Convention last week and talked about his ordeal with Phillips and the dishonest media.

“Looking back now, how could I possibly imagine that the simple act of putting on that red hat would unleash hate from the left, and make myself the target of network in cable news networks nationwide?” Sandmann said.

“I found myself face to face with Nathan Phillips, and other professional protesters looking to turn me into the latest poster child showing why Trump is bad. While the media portrayed me as an aggressor with a relentless smirk on my face, in reality, the video confirms I was standing with my hands behind my back with an awkward smile on my face.

“My life changed forever in that one moment. The full war machine of the mainstream media revved up into attack mode,” he added.

“They did so without ever researching the full video of the incident; without ever investigating Mr. Philips’ motives; or without ever asking me for my side of the story. And do you know why? Because the truth wasn’t important.”

The youth has already settled a $250 million lawsuit against CNN and a $275 million defamation suit against the Washington Post. But more suits are already in the works.

In all, the suits total $800 million; he has suits pending against The Hill, CBS, ABC, NBC, and The Guardian. If all goes like it’s gone thus far, he’s going to wind up a very rich young man – and deservedly so.

Needless to say, he gave a full-throated endorsement to President Trump.

“In November, I believe this country must unite around a president who calls the media out and refuses to allow them to create a narrative instead of reporting the facts,” he said. “No one in this country has been a victim of unfair media coverage more than President Donald Trump.”
