Dems Exploit Austin Violence To Push Anti-Gun Agenda; Ignore Two Other Mass Shootings

Liberals rushed to exploit a mass shooting that took place in Austin early Saturday morning. For them, it serves as another excuse for legislation that would strip law-abiding Americans of their Second Amendment rights.

According to reports, shots rang out in the downtown entertainment district of the Texas city, injuring multiple people and resulting in chaos. Police and first responders rushed to the scene to save the lives of those who were hit.

When the grim toll was added up, 13 were hospitalized with two reportedly in critical condition. According to a report from Austin NBC affiliate, KXAN, “Interim Police Chief Joseph Chacon said the shooting happened at 400 E. 6th Street, which is near Trinity Street. There are many bars in the area. The initial 911 call about shots fired came in at about 1:24 a.m. and was followed by many more.”

Law enforcement authorities have identified two suspects who could be arrested at any time.

Just as they always do whenever a shooting takes place Democrats and their operatives swarmed Twitter to demand draconian gun laws that would criminalize law-abiding Americans. This would leave law-abiding citizens helpless and at the mercy of a violent crime wave that has gripped cities that are under Democrat control.

MSNBC analyst and former James Comey underling Frank Figluizzi also tweeted about Austin. Earlier in the week, he called for the arrest and jailing of Republican members of Congress. This is a perfect example of why the founders crafted the Second Amendment in the first place; as a last line of defense against a tyrannical regime.

Rep. Val Demings who lost out on being Biden’s black female running mate largely due to a lack of national name recognition, also called for new gun laws. She cited Austin and for good measure, threw in the Pulse nightclub mass murder. That was when a crazed Muslim named Omar Mateen shot up a nightclub full of gay people back in 2016 in Orlando. Demings is running against Marco Rubio in next year’s Florida Senate race.

Ironically, the FBI where Figliuzzi was employed for 25 years had knowledge of Mateen and his potential for violence.

Anti-Second Amendment activist Fred Guttenberg’s teenage daughter was tragically killed by another mass murderer in the 2018 school massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. He called for the elimination of the NRA and what he referred to as the “gun lobby” with Austin serving as justification for what would be an unprecedented act of tyranny by the “public-private partnership.”

Nikolas Cruz, the deranged 19-year-old who opened fire on students was also on the FBI’s radar.

For reasons that should be obvious to all, the gun-grabbers did not mention two other mass shootings that took place on Friday, one in Savannah, Georgia, and one on the mean streets of Chicago.

According to the New York Post, “Savannah police said officers responded around 9 p.m. to the Robert Hitch Village/Fred Wessels Homes, a 250-unit affordable housing complex just three blocks from police headquarters. They found a grisly scene with multiple victims.”

In yet another of the incidents that have turned the Windy City into a violence-torn hellscape with a murder rate the equivalent of some third-world countries, 9 were injured with 1 dead in an incident on the South Side. The deceased was a 29-year-old woman who was caught in the kill range when two shooters opened fire on a crowd. “I looked down, and next thing I know I hear a ‘bop bop bop’ and looked up at the crowd and saw people scattering,” eyewitness Eboni Watson told CBS Chicago. “Then I seen like two people hit the floor.”

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot – an unrepentant racist – continues to get a free pass on her city’s predominantly black-on-black violence and the massive body count from her fellow Democrats as well as the media.

A notable exception was Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy who did acknowledge all three shootings.

However, Murphy is such a raving anti-gun fanatic who is desperate to get guns out of the hands of law-abiding Americans that he would gladly break with the narrative in pursuit of the larger agenda of mass disarmament.

There is a good chance that the Austin shooting will disappear entirely if the shooter/shooters don’t fit the established narrative of an angry white Trump supporter run amok.
