Dr. Fauci Suggests That 2020 NFL Season May Be In Jeopardy

Dr. Anthony Fauci has cast a shadow of doubt over the upcoming National Football League season by suggesting that the games may not be able to take place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The showboating director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has seen his profile diminished after President Trump halted his daily press briefings which has sent Fauci scurrying to a media that idolizes him.

The prophet of doom claimed that the NFL may be forced to cancel the 2020 season unless it adopted a "bubble" approach where players would be separated from their families for up to five months and made to undergo daily testing.

Not that anything that Fauci has predicted in terms of the virus have come to pass and instead have led to economic destruction but it's good enough for CNN.

Via Fox News, "Fauci doesn't see NFL season happening unless league adopts NBA 'bubble' plan":

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, said Wednesday he does not believe the NFL season will happen unless the league takes a similar approach to the NBA’s plan to keep players in a “bubble.”

Fauci expressed his concerns to CNN, warning that the NFL will need to modify how the season is played.

“Unless players are essentially in a bubble – insulated from the community and they are tested nearly every day – it would be very hard to see how football is able to be played this fall,” Fauci said. “If there is a second wave, which is certainly a possibility and which would be complicated by the predictable flu season, football may not happen this year.”

A number of players have tested positive for COVID-19 this week, including Denver Broncos’ safety Kareem Jackson and Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, raising concerns about the spread of the virus once the regular season begins.

The man who has done more damage to America than our foreign adversaries ever could also threw cold water on the possibility of the Major League Baseball season taking place.

Dr. Fauci told the Los Angeles Times:

"If the question is time, I would try to keep it in the core summer months and end it not with the way we play the World Series, until the end of October when it's cold. I would avoid that."

"Under most circumstances -- but we don't know for sure here -- viruses do better when the weather starts to get colder and people start spending more time inside, as opposed to outside. The community has a greater chance of getting infected ... (There is potential) overlap between influenza and the possibility of a fall second (COVID-19) wave."

What's next on Dr. Fauci's list? Canceling Christmas?

The NFL is already on the precipice of disaster after Commissioner Roger Goodell ran up the white flag of surrender to Black Lives Matter by apologizing to players who kneeled during the national anthem and put his seal of approval on the divisive practice which will alienate millions of fans again this year.

Ironically, Fauci may be the only man in America who can save Goodell from himself.
