The pandemic had its toll on Americans, and many are still trying to recover from the losses after years. However, it seems like democrats and officials of the Biden administration were the only people who did not feel this loss. Instead, they managed to grow their wealth significantly during this period.
Open The Books just exposed Dr Tony Fauci, one of the highest paid federal officials, seeing that he has a net worth of about $13 million. Open the Books is an organization that focuses on government spending transparency, and it has revealed on multiple occasions that many of the officials of the Biden administration have a few tricks off their sleeves.
Tony Fauci, a federal official for over five decades, was revealed to have added millions of dollars to his wealth during the pandemic. It is no coincidence that Fauci is also the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. This position gave him access to several high-end funds in such a tough time for people worldwide and he definitely used it to his advantage as his wealth increased by 65% during that period. Fauci’s wife also happens to be the chief bioethicist at the National Institute of Health.
The founder of Open The Books, Adam Andrzejewski, announced that the organization had received Fauci’s financial disclosures for 2021. He wrote on his Substack that the received disclosure featured a lot of previously unknown financial information, including the fact that he was suddenly about $ 5 million richer.

Andrzejewski wrote on his Substack, “In January 2022, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall forced open Dr. Anthony Fauci’s unredacted FY2019 and 2020 financial disclosures. The release followed a heated Senate exchange between Fauci and Marshall that concluded with Fauci calling the senator a moron.”
He added, “It was Fauci’s “code red moment” when America’s ‘top doctor’ melted down on national television in the Senate hearing. (When Marshall cited ‘Forbes,’ that was our research on Fauci’s financials published in my then-column at Forbes.).”
Andrzejewski also noted that Fauci is the highest-paid federal official in the United States, as he earned almost a million dollars in the past two years. The reason why Fauci was making even more than the president and millions of federal bureaucrats remains a complete mystery.

He adds, “In 2021, Fauci augmented his government income with nearly $1 million in prizes from non-profit organizations across the world. For example, the Dan David Foundation, based in Israel, awarded $901,400 for ‘speaking truth to power’ and ‘defending science’ during the Trump administration.”
Considering all the lies told by Fauci during the pandemic, which led to the loss of several lives and sources of income, it would not be over the line to assume that Fauci had personal interests which motivated his actions. When Republicans finally take back control of Congress, Fauci should better be prepared to answer several questions.
