One of the biggest reasons why Republicans are opposed to nationalizing mail-in balloting is due to the potential for massive voter fraud — which is also why Democrats are pushing for it.
According to federal data obtained by Breitbart News, some 28.4 million mail-in ballots have gone missing since the 2012 election, meaning that such a system has been ripe for abuse by anyone who is, shall we say, less inclined to be honest.
The data obtained from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and the Election Administration and Voting Surveys for the 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018 election cycles found that tens of millions of ballots were mailed out but then went missing.
As the website noted:
In 2012, for instance, more than 33 million mail-in ballots were sent to registered voters. Of those, nearly four million went missing, more than 425,000 were undeliverable, and almost 260,000 were rejected.
During the 2014 midterms, the number of ballots that went missing spiked to more than 8 million, the data show. During that cycle, just over 29 million mail-in ballots were sent to registered voters, but more than 610,000 were not deliverable, while another 269,000 were rejected.
In all, as Breitbart News noted in a separate story, some 16.4 million mail-in ballots went missing during the 2016 and 2018 election cycles — as mail-in ballots rose dramatically to about 84 million over the two election cycles.
There were also huge regional discrepancies. In Los Angeles County, almost 1.4 million mail-in ballots went missing during the 2018 election, while 408,000 mail-in ballots were lost in Maricopa County, Arizona — where Phoenix is located.

Orange County, Calif., had 374,000 ballots go missing in 2018, while King County, Washington — home to Seattle — saw 353,000 go missing as well.
“San Diego County, Sacramento County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Alameda County, Santa Clara County — all located in California — saw a combined 1.6 million mail-in ballots go missing in the 2018 election,” Breitbart News noted.
Democrats have been attempting to utilize the coronavirus pandemic to force through a nationwide mail-in balloting scheme that would ‘legalize’ vote fraud and election theft in perpetuity. The party would suddenly become unstoppable, stealing every election they could in order to maintain control. And their old Left-wing billionaire Marxist buddy, George Soros, is right in the middle of this, as usual.
Should Democrats manage to push their scheme past the GOP-controlled Senate and past the veto pen of President Donald Trump, there is the potential of mailing some 24 million ballots to ineligible voters on outdated voter registration lists. The damage to our republic would be permanent.
For his part, the president has already slapped down the notion of signing off on a nationwide mail-in balloting scheme.
During his daily coronavirus press conference earlier this month, he was asked about his support for the scheme.
“No, a lot of people cheat,” he said. “I think people should vote with ID, voter ID, I think voter ID is very important, and the reason [Democrats] don’t want voter ID is because they intend to cheat.
“It shouldn’t be mail-in voting. It should be you go to a booth and you proudly display yourself” before casting a ballot, he said.
