“What happens when he gets out and accuses me of things that are completely untrue is that all of a sudden that kindles the crazies out there and I have threats upon my life, harassment of my family and my children with obscene phone calls, because people are lying about me.”

The above statement comes from the highest-paid government official in America, Dr. Anthony Fauci, during Tuesday’s Senate hearing. He was referring to Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.

You can expect the mainstream media to back Fauci with everything they have (because he’s clearly a leftist like them), while slamming Paul for doing his job too well.

Fauci ignorantly continued, “In usual fashion, senator, you are distorting everything about me. This happens all the time, you personally attack me, with absolutely not a shred of evidence about anything you say.”

Here’s some of the action that went down on the hill, via The Daily Wire:

Dr. Anthony Fauci accused Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) of using the coronavirus pandemic for his own political gain, appearing at a Tuesday hearing on Capitol Hill with “evidence” he had printed from Paul’s website.

The heated exchange between Paul and Fauci, who currently serves as both the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden, began with Paul’s contention that Fauci had used his position to smear other epidemiologists who disagreed with his opinions on how the federal government should respond to COVID-19.

WATCH:

.@RandPaul to Fauci: “[T]he idea that a government official like yourself would claim unilaterally to represent science and that any criticism of you would be considered a criticism of science itself is quite dangerous…It is cheap politics & it is reprehensible.”

Dr. Fauci then demands time to read from remarks attacking @RandPaul for criticizing him w/o “a shred of evidence” and directly blames those who’ve disagreed w/him for the death threats he’s received & messages to family members.

He adds Paul is doing it “for political reasons.”

“So I ask myself why would a senator want to do this? So go to Rand Paul’s website and you see ‘Fire Dr. Fauci’ with a little box that says ‘Contribute here.’ You can do $5, $10, $20, $100,” Fauci continued, holding up pictures he said were printed from Paul’s website and wrapping up his remarks with the claim, “So you are making a catastrophic epidemic for your political gain.”

Dr. Fauci came to the hearing with printouts from Sen. Rand Paul’s website.

Here’s more from the hearing…

WASHINGTON, DC—@RogerMarshallMD confronts Dr Fauci over Project Veritas report:

“Will you commit today to release all records—fully un-redacted—by the end of this week, so Congress and the American people may know the truth of NIH’s role in the origins of COVID-19?”

Thoughts?

If you’re not up on the “Project Veritas” expose, here ya go…

Here’s a quote from Paul on Fauci, “I think Fauci is of the philosophy that vaccines are incredibly successful and are the way to go versus therapeutics, for example. So with regard to AIDS, he was involved as the AIDS epidemic came up, he wanted to develop a vaccine,” said Paul, who has repeatedly clashed with Fauci in hearings on Capitol Hill. “There’s nothing wrong with that. He wanted to develop a vaccine. Vaccines can be great for polio or smallpox or wonderful. It didn’t actually work for AIDS.”
