Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich took Kamala Harris to the woodshed this week and delivered quite a verbal beat down when asked about her performance in office.
While speaking to the panel on Fox & Friends, Gingrich slammed Harris for questioning the competency of rural voters to be able to cast a ballot or get a photo I.D. to vote.
Gingrich said that Harris “looks like a fool more than a vice president about half the time” with her actions and remarks.
“I think this is a dead loser for the Democrats,” Gingrich said. “I think they are trapped into it. I have noticed a lot of other Democrats other than the president and vice president have been getting away from the issue. You have a number of Democrats now saying, ‘Oh, I have always been in favor of being able to identify who the voters are.’ And … if they want to go down this road, as you said, I mean, Harris — I don’t know quite how to say this right — Harris looks like a fool more than a vice president about half the time. And I can’t wait for her comments on Cuba if she knows where the island even is.”
He continued, “By the way, you know, and I know, she hasn’t been in an office supply store in her life. She had staff, so she wouldn’t have any idea where office supply stores are. And I would love to know the last time she Xeroxed something personally or if she even knows what a Xerox machine is.”
In an interview with BET Harris said that voter ID laws would “make it almost impossible” to vote.
“It’s about using the bully pulpit to help people see what’s happening in the midst of all the daily issues that they have,” she said.
“You know, we’re not in an election year. You know, we tend to rally when we know the election is about to happen. But right now, we need to start rallying, because these laws are being passed right now that will make it almost impossible, at least very difficult, for you to vote,” she added.
“I don’t think that we should underestimate what that could mean,” Harris replied. “Because in some people’s mind, that means, well, you’re going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove that you are who you are,” Harris said.
“Well, there are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don’t — there’s no Kinko’s, there’s no OfficeMax near them,” she said.
“People have to understand that when we’re talking about voter ID laws, be clear about who you have in mind and what would be required of them to prove who they are,” Harris continued. “Of course, people have to prove who they are, but not in a way that makes it almost impossible for them to prove who they are,” she said.

It’s quite amazing that she thinks so little of rural America, which consists of a major swatch of the country.
Harris thinks anyone not living in big cities isn’t capable of making a photocopy or scanning documents to be able to vote.
