The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives officially passed both articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump last Wednesday.

Now the trial will move into the GOP-controlled U.S. Senate, and Republicans already have a strong game plan.

During an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said he would choose Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Doug Collins of Georgia, and John Ratcliffe of Texas to represent Trump in his looming Senate impeachment trial.

“These are individuals I would actually pull in at the White House,” McCarthy said. “You want people that have been through this, understand it, been in the hearings even when they were in the basement.”

Jordan, Collins and Ratcliffe – all staunch Trump allies in the House – played vocal roles in the House Intelligence and Judiciary committees’ inquiries into the president.

After her impeachment gamble blew up in her face, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is now threatening not to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate.

After months of sham hearings, partisan witnesses, and still no evidence the president did anything wrong, House Democrats just managed to waste millions of dollars in less than three months.

According to research from the Heritage Foundation, $3.06 million of taxpayers ’ money was spent by House Democrats in their efforts to remove the duly elected president of the United States.

Add up lawyers’ fees and the salaries of staff whose duties have been consumed by impeachment proceedings, and taxpayers are footing a hefty bill.

Beyond Democrats abusing and wasting taxpayer dollars, their impeachment witch hunt is going so badly that even CNN is admitting Trump has “more than weathered the storm.”

Over the course of three months, Trump’s approval numbers increased and support for impeaching him from office decreased.

Trump was already going to be very tough to beat in 2020, but Democrats are doing their best to make him electorally stronger and practically unbeatable.
