Republicans in the House of Representatives are gearing up for the midterm elections that are only a couple of months away. For us, the regular people, that means we are going to be absolutely bombarded by political ads in the coming weeks, which, if we’re being honest, will drive us all to the brink of insanity. However, the effectiveness of these ads is predicated upon the messaging presented to viewers.

It probably goes without saying, but there’s a whole lot at stake in the midterms. The very heart and soul of America relies on whether or not the Republican Party is able to take control of the House, and God willing, the Senate. Stripping control of Congress away from Democrats will nullify the agenda of the party and the president, helping to stem the tide of destruction being wrought by Biden and his administration.

Having the GOP take control also opens up the door for conservatives taking back the White House in 2024, especially if the work they do while having the upper hand in Congress is good and eases the economic burden being experienced by Americans due to inflation.

Republicans also need to ensure that communication in the party is cohesive and that the message being sent to voters during the hot and heavy political season this fall appeals to their concerns and needs. Which is why House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a Republican from California, is set to unveil a four-piece “Commitment to America” on Sept. 19 in the city of Pittsburgh.

According to TheBlaze, “This package of commitments will indicate to voters not only what the GOP intends to combat in the way of Democrat policies, pernicious trends, and perceived corruption, but what it intends to deliver instead to the electorate. The latter is regarded by some as more important — communicating a positive message along with solutions rather than negative messaging.”

Republican Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska spoke with Axios, saying, “If you’re just running on anti-Biden, well, that’s not going to get you over the finish line.”

Here’s a bit more information from the report:

When responding to President Joe Biden’s claim that the Republican philosophy is “semi-fascist,” McCarthy hinted at the party’s forward-looking thematics: “Our best days are ahead of us, not behind us. Our nation can flourish again, and under a new historic Republic majority, it will.”

Axios reported that McCarthy’s latest iteration of the House Republicans’ “Commitment to America” is the product of the work of seven issue-specific task forces assigned to identify and develop policy solutions to the problems confronting the American people.

The issues tackled by the task forces were jobs and the economy; big tech censorship and data; the future of American freedoms; energy, climate, and conservation; American security; a healthy future; and China accountability.

The first part of the overall piece will deal with the economy. It attributes an estimated 550 percent increase in inflation — which is absolutely insane — to all of the spending done by Democrats since Biden has been in office, going on to point out a 12 percent spike in the cost of food, which has made day-to-day living very difficult for those who are living paycheck-to-paycheck. It also shined light on the importance of American energy independence, the high price we’re all paying for gas, and our nation’s reliance on a hostile supply of critical goods.

Here’s what the document proposes as solutions to these issues:

  • eliminate wasteful government spending;
  • reduce the cost of living and boost business with “pro-growth tax policies”;
  • reconnect workers with jobs while also disincentivizing remote work;
  • end Biden’s “anti-energy policies” and increase the production of American-made energy;
  • onshore supply lines and manufacturing; and
  • strengthen and modernize the U.S. stockpile of supplies and medicines.

The second document in the messaging will shine a spotlight on the fallout from the current administration’s absolutely abysmal border policies, which, honestly, are non-existent. It’s really just an open-border policy, which has led to severe increases in illegal immigration, drug deaths, and all sorts of nasty crimes. The document also tackles the subject of spiking crime rates and connects them to “Defund the Police” initiatives from the radical left.

“The southern border and Democrat deference to criminals were not the only focuses, however; foreign policy concerns were also raised. The document stressed the geopolitical threat of communist China amid waning confidence in the U.S. military, particularly after Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan,” TheBlaze reported.

The second document recommends the following remedies for safety issues:

  • require proof of legal status when applying for a job;
  • restrict welfare benefits that incentivize illegal immigration;
  • end catch-and-release at the southern border;
  • finish building the border wall while also fully funding Border Patrol;
  • make violent crime against police officers a federal offense;
  • fully fund hiring bonuses to recruit more cops;
  • deny funding to “woke district attorneys” and prosecutors who refuse to prosecute crimes;
  • invest in the lethality of the U.S. military;
  • hold the Biden administration responsible for the botched Afghanistan withdrawal;
  • stand with Israel against Iran and terrorism; and
  • counter communist Chinese aggression.

The third document will tackle education, health care, and free speech, while the fourth will deal with communication and how Democrats have not been open and honest in their dealings with the American people. If you’re interested in seeing the solutions proposed on those topics, the links at the start of this paragraph will take you to that information.
