Joy Behar Calls on Joe Biden to Go After Ivanka Trump

During ABC's show "The View" on Friday, far-left host Joy Behar suggested that former Vice President and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden needs to "get tough" by attacking President Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump.

“I think that Biden himself —I really see him as a very viable candidate, Joe Biden still…but I think he needs to go out there and really shame them and play the — not victim card, but the aggrieved father car," she started. "He has lost two children, Joe Biden has. He has one son left, and these shameless people are attacking his son. The one boy that he loves still that he has to go home to at night. That is the real truth of the situation.”

Behar continued, “The Burisma thing is nepotism, and let’s just call it what it is. It’s just nepotism, and if you are going to talk about nepotism, look at Trump’s family. It’s all over the White House.”

Radical host Ana Navarro agreed, saying, “That’s exactly what Joe Biden should be doing. He should be talking about nepotism in Washington.”

“He should," Behar said.

Co-host Sunny Hostin jumped in to bring up Ivanka Trump: “The one thing nobody is talking about is Ivanka Trump, after taking a role in the White House, who got all of these Chinese patents for things she had been begging to get before getting into the White House. Nobody wants to talk about that!”

“I don’t know why," Behar said. "The Democrats have to get tough.”

The comments from members on 'The View' come in the midst of the Biden family-Ukraine scandal where Hunter Biden is accused of leveraging his dad's position as Vice President to conduct in potentially corrupt actions in Ukraine.

Biden is beginning to feel the heat which is why he is trying to cover for himself. During an interview with NPR, Biden lied when he claimed that he was never warned about his sons potentially corrupt work in Ukraine.

NPR host Rachel Martin said to the former Vice President: “You know it didn’t look good for Hunter Biden to be on that board, even if he did nothing wrong. The optics weren’t good. And you talk a lot about what it means to be a Biden and the integrity that is imbued in that family name. But there were former White House aides of yours who tried to warn you about the potential conflicts of interest.”

Biden replied with a blatant lie, saying, “Nobody warned me about a potential conflict of interest. Nobody warned me about that. And at the same time —”

“George Kent, the State Department official, testified that he raised it to you, and your staff,” Martin fired back.

“No, he didn’t say me,” Biden said, lying once again. “He did not say me.”

“To your staff,” Martin pressed. “To your staff, I stand corrected. To your staff. And your staff told him he has no bandwidth for family matters.”

“I never, never heard that once at all. Well, my son was dying, so I guess that’s why he said it, because my son was on his deathbed. But that, that’s not the reason why – they should have told me," Biden said, trying to divert attention to make people feel bad for him.

“And the fact of the matter is, my son testified and did an interview saying if he, looking back on it, made a mistake, he made a mistake although he did nothing wrong,” Biden added. “The appearance looked bad and it gave folks like Rudy Giuliani an excuse to come up with a Trumpian kind of defense, why they were violating the Constitution. His, his words speak for themselves.”
