LAPD Warns People Not to Visit Due to Out of Control Crime

“The Purge” has come to LA, with cops so unable to deal with crime thanks to the left’s soft on crime policies that they’re actively warning potential tourists not to visit during the holiday season.

In a shocking, December 10th video, LAPD detective Jamie McBride told potential visitors to stay far, far away from his hellhole of a city:

In the video, McBride tells the media “don’t visit because we don’t think we can keep you safe right now” and “My advice to anybody considering coming to Los Angeles is ‘Don’t,’ he said.  “We can’t guarantee your safety. It is really, really out of control […] It’s like that movie ‘Purge’ [sic]. Instead of 24 hours to commit your crime, these bad people have 365 days to commit whatever they want.”

He also, hilariously, says “it’s almost safer to hang out with Alec Baldwin on a movie set than go shopping in Los Angeles right now.

Further, McBride blames the soft on crime policies of Gavin Newsom and other leftists that run the city and state, with Prop. 47 and the “no bail” rule for turning LA into a crime-stricken wasteland, saying:

How did we get here? The ACLU advocated for Proposition 47 which changed the sentencing guidelines. So, right now, you can literally go out and do whatever you want, commit crimes, and you will be out faster than the officers can finish the report, and that’s a fact…We’re wondering how many times somebody has to be arrested here in L.A. before they stay in jail.”

He added that the solution is to kick soft on crime DAs out of office. In his words:

And to be honest with you, it shouldn’t matter if you’re a Republican or a Democrat. I think we should all want to feel safe in your home, and we should be tough on crime, and that’s where it starts. We have to start from the top and clean house all the way down

McBride is president of the police union, the LA Police Protective League, so you can take his word for it. If you want to avoid rampant criminality, stay far, far away from that crime-wracked hellhole.
