Mitch McConnell finally poked his head out of his turtle shell last night and responded to the FBI/DOJ Stasi-esque raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence Monday evening. The Republican leader of the Senate from Kentucky, who Trump sometimes refers to as “old crow” had remained oddly quiet for over 24 hours after the raid that the rest of the nation, indeed the world, was in an uproar.
The raid, conducted by agents from the Washington Field Office on Monday, was ostensibly for a Presidential Records Act violation, yet is highly suspected to be just another “Get Trump” move on the part of democrats and Rinos.
After remaining silent for over a day, McConnell finally issued the statement: “The country deserves a thorough and immediate explanation of what led to the events of Monday. Attorney General Garland and the Department of Justice should already have provided answers to the American people and must do so immediately,” reports Just The News.
President Trump, of course, issued an immediate statement over the raid.
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before.”
McConnell had taken a lot of grief on Twitter for his silence, with many well-deserved accusations of being a Rino and working with the far-left extremists democrats as they pursue an agenda focused on canceling Trump from the political landscape.

When McConnell was first asked about the raid, he refused to answer the question, which prompted a backlash from conservatives.
John Cardillo posted “sure seems like @LeaderMcConnell not only approves of the raid on Trump, but might have had advance knowledge and approved. One thing is for sure; this guy isn’t an ally.“

McConnell took more hits from the average American Twitter user, though most criticisms on Twitter came from leftist accounts seeing as how most Patriots have left that platform for TruthSocial. The conservative criticism, however, mostly took the form of accusing McConnel of working with the radical left, that he should resign from leadership or both.
McConnell, though very late and suspect, did take his place beside other republican leaders in condemning the raid and demands for transparency.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) demanded an explanation, stating the “Justice Department as a whole bears responsibility in upholding the public trust, and in a matter so consequential to our democratic process, Attorney General Garland also owes the American people full transparency,”
House minority leader, Kevin McCarthy promised investigations should the republicans take control of that legislative body in the midterms. McCarthy said “I’ve seen enough. The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization. When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts, and leave no stone unturned. Attorney General Garland, preserve your documents and clear your calendar.”
The unabated attacks on President Trump since 2016 need to come to an end. Nothing has ever been found because nothing has ever been “there” to find. In sharp contrast to the well-documented corruption of the Biden crime family, who get free passes for selling out the United States of America and other nefarious criminal behavior.
