Okay, so there are quite a few individuals on the liberal side of the political spectrum who seem, well, a little bit out there. I could be extremely rude and offensive here, but for whatever reason, I’m feeling a bit charitable, so I’ll go with that descriptor. For now.

Anyway, a recent guest that made an appearance on MSNBC, who is also a contributor for the network, might need to seek some sort of mental health assessment, because the way this individual described President Joe Biden is very, very strange. Dr. Jason Johnson went on to describe Biden as being some sort of folk war hero who was happily enjoying his retirement but was called upon by forces beyond his control to come back into public service to be our nation’s savior.

Sounds like a badly written drama film, right?

Apparently, the event that pulled Biden back into the fray was the riot in 2017 that took place in Charlottesville. Right after these horrible events unfolded, former President Donald Trump was falsely accused of heaping praise on white supremacists, and that, according to Johnson, was all Biden could stomach.

“If you believe the story, which I do, that [Biden] said, ‘I had no intention of running for president,’” Johnson, a professor at Morgan State University, went on to say of the president, according to the Daily Wire. “He was, he was the retired war hero out in the mountain, chopping wood. Charlottesville brought him back into the fight that he never thought he’d have to fight again.”

The Daily Wire then reported, “While it is interesting imagery, Newsbusters pointed out that Biden never served in the military, although he was draft eligible in the Vietnam era. Instead, the former high school football star got five draft deferments for asthma. Also, unlike former President Reagan, who famously spent vacations chopping wood at his Santa Barbara ranch, Biden vacations at a Delaware beach house where he often rides a bike and cutting down trees is likely frowned upon.”

“Johnson and MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace were discussing a recent speech by Biden at the so-called United We Stand summit, Johnson said he found the speech ‘charming and engaging,'” the report said.

Biden himself has often discussed the Charlottesville riot as one of the primary factors in his decision to go up against Trump in 2020. Man, if only he hadn’t broken his daily routine of taking an afternoon nap that day. Things in this country might have turned out differently.

“Charlottesville changed everything,” Biden commented Thursday at a summit on extremism at the White House that was attended by race baiter Rev. Al Sharpton, Jonathan Greenblatt of the Anti-Defamation League, and many others.

Biden, along with many folks who work for the propagandists in the mainstream media, made the claim that Trump was praising White supremacists after the events in Charlottesville, which was a protest held to fight against taking down Confederate statues. A whole bunch of counter protesters showed up, along with members of Antifa and legitimate white supremacists.

While the former president did say there were “very fine people” on both sides of the skirmish, if you read the context in which the remark was made, he was not talking about the extremists, but the folks on both sides of the statue debate.

“You’re changing history,” Trump went on to say to journalists in a ambling Q&A on August 15, 2017. “You’re changing culture. And you had people — and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists — because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly.”

“Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people,” he added. “But you also had troublemakers, and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets, and with the baseball bats. You had a lot of bad people in the other group.”

Trump had also made remarks condemning James Alex Fields Jr. who was responsible for running down Heather Heyer, referring to the man as a “murderer” and a “disgrace to himself, his family, and this country.”

Of course, the media ignored those comments and ripped his previous statements out of context to make Trump seem like a raging racist, which is he clearly not. The left is truly delusional.
