On Thursday evening, President Joe Biden delivered a truly hateful, rage fueled, divisive speech that targeted the supporters of former President Donald Trump, referring to them as “ultra-MAGA,” and essentially referred to those who dared to cast a ballot for Trump as insurrectionists. A lot of folks, mostly on the right, but even a few on the left, viewed the speech, and its militaristic backdrop, as way over the line. It’s no secret the things he said are going to cause deeper cracks between the people of this nation, but it seems to go even further than that. Some are calling this speech an attempt to goad certain individuals in the MAGA movement to engage in civil unrest, which would provide all of the reasoning one would need to justify gun grabbing martial law.
Delivering the speech in front of Independence Hall in Philly, the speech, named the “Battle for the Soul of the Nation,” claimed that Trump and all MAGA members of the GOP “represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”
“And here, in my view, is what is true: MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution,” Biden went on to say in the controversial speech. “They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people.”

Biden accused Make America Great Again leaders of fanning the flames of political violence.
“MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards — backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love,” Biden declared during his speech.
Biden quoted J. Michael Luttig – a former Court of Appeals judge for the Fourth Circuit – who called Trump a “clear and present danger” to American democracy during a Jan. 6 committee hearing in June. Biden warned Americans that they are now at an “inflection point” and said it is within our power to “stop the assault on American democracy.”
He said MAGA Republicans “embrace anger,” “thrive on chaos,” and “live not in the light of truth but in the shadow of lies.”
The president then stated, “We’re all called, by duty and conscience, to confront extremists who will put their own pursuit of power above all else.”
MSNBC political analyst and columnist for the Washington Post, Eugene Robinson gave his two cents on the speech, placing it in the category of “wartime address.” Man, some of these liberals just do not seem to care about the divisiveness that all of this kind of rhetoric from Biden is causing. Or the danger it puts people in by making it seem as if the Democratic Party is declaring war on the American people. This kind of talk is far more dangerous than any comment made by Trump during his tenure as the commander-in-chief.
“The speech last night to me sounded like a president delivering a wartime address,” Robinson went on to say during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” on Friday.
“And indeed, Joe Biden sees this as a battle for the soul of our country,” he said while talking with host Joe Scarborough. “It’s a battle for the preservation of our democracy.”
“To me, the significant thing was, yes, he called out Donald Trump — but he also called out the MAGA Republicans, the MAGA Republican officials and followers, who, you know, for whatever motive, under whatever delusion, are going down this authoritarian path, this undemocratic path and trying to take the nation with them,” Robinson then stated.
“And he framed this as an emergency, as something that we as a nation need to bond together and to stop, and to reverse, and to return to our democratic principles and our democratic practices,” Robinson said during the show. “And to me, it was an urgent wartime address.”

Again, this kind of speech is dangerous. It ramps up the “us vs. them” mentality that the Biden administration is clearly attempting to create. Why create such an atmosphere? Democrats are doing poorly in the polls and could end up losing control of one or both houses of Congress. Such a massive loss would lead to major damage being done to the leftist agenda.
They want folks to lose their minds and engage in rioting and violence. It would pretty much seal the deal for them keeping control of Congress and trampling our rights. This is why self-control is the most important thing we can exercise at the moment. Our best way of getting even is through voting out these losers in November. Keep your cool.
