The writing has been on the wall for years, and now the Democrat party is an open haven for anti-Semites as Rep. Ilhan Omar has received yet another pass for her repulsive Twitter activity.

The Minnesota congresswoman ignited a firestorm of criticism when she accused the U.S. and Israel of “crimes against humanity” and “unthinkable atrocities,” comparing the two nations to the barbaric terrorists of Hamas and the Taliban.

Republicans called for her removal from the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee. In a rare rebuke, a dozen Jewish House Democrats issued a statement calling for Omar to “clarify her words” for “placing the US and Israel in the same category as Hamas and the Taliban.”

The defiant Omar’s “clarification” came in the form of a missive from her Twitter account accusing the Jewish Dems of a “shameful” use of “Islamophobic tropes,” flipping the script on her critics by playing the victim.

With the entire Squad swarming to Omar’s defense, the idea that there would finally be a price to pay for anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism was quickly beaten down, and on Friday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi once again put her seal of approval on the Jew-hating anti-Americanism that has taken root in the Democratic party.

When pressed by a reporter on whether any action will be taken against Omar; a stammering Pelosi responded; “No, no I don’t, no, no I don’t..” she said, adding “I think that she clarified her remarks and that was uh uh…that we accept that and uh…she, she, she has a point that she wanted to make and she has a right to make that point and there was some unease about how it was interpreted, she made her clarification.”

But there was no clarification outside of her attack on her Jewish colleagues; Pelosi is a practitioner of the “Big Lie” and she is rarely called out of it, especially when it comes to protecting the virulent anti-Semites in her caucus.

Like her fellow Squad members, Omar’s legislative career has been marked more by her building a Twitter brand and promoting terrorist talking points than any real accomplishments.

In addition to her anti-Semitism, she has been mired in scandal including allegedly marrying her own brother, but she is protected by Pelosi and easily won reelection in the charred remains of her Minneapolis district last year.

Knowing that there will be no consequences for her actions, Omar doubled down on her initial remarks lumping Israel and the United States in with Hamas and the Taliban.

The Jewish Democrats who signed the statement will likely fall back in line but Omar is taking heavy fire from Republicans who may finally be developing a backbone with radicalized Democrats increasingly vulnerable in next year’s midterm elections.

One House Republican punched back after Omar accused him of being an Islamophobe.

“You are triggered by my statements because they’re true. You celebrate anti-Semites, compared America to Hamas and the Taliban, and brushed off the 9/11 attacks as “some people did something.” I will never apologize for putting America First and being pro-Israel.” Tweeted Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama.

With the campaigning for the midterms only months away from kicking off, Pelosi’s thin majority is now dependent on her continued placating of anti-Semites, not exactly a winning formula when attacks on the Jewish community have become commonplace in Joe Biden’s America.
