Without question, Nancy Pelosi has proven to be the most disgusting, divisive, and dishonest Speaker of the House in modern history who gets off on playing the hack partisan while the country burns – literally.
She proved it again on Monday when she complained about President Donald Trump’s proposed payroll tax holiday, which he issued via executive order last month to help tens of millions of American workers struggling to get by amid lingering coronavirus business closures ordered by Democrat governors and mayors.
“President Trump continues to play fast and loose with the health and well-being of America’s seniors. The new analysis today shows the swift potential devastation of President Trump’s reckless call to ‘terminate’ the payroll tax: shattering the sacred promise of Social Security,” she said in a statement.

Pelosi vowed that Democrats would “stand strong” for senior citizens’ Social Security benefits.
The Speaker made the statement after Stephen C. Goss, chief actuary at the Social Security Administration, responded to Democratic Senators’ query on what the consequences would be for Social Security insurance funds if payroll tax was terminated. …
In response to a politically motivated inquiry from Democratic senators about the ‘damage caused’ by Trump’s executive order, Goss, a bureaucrat, responded, “If this hypothetical legislation were enacted, with no alternative source of revenue to replace the elimination of payroll taxes on earned income paid on January 1, 2021, and thereafter,” the Social Security Insurance Funds would run out of money by mid-2021 and mid-2023.
Well, that’s all very interesting because once upon a time, Pelosi (and Democrats) didn’t have one concern in the world about Social Security missing out on funds due to a payroll tax cut…when Barack Obama was the president proposing one.

In 2010, Obama signed a payroll tax reduction, and Congress extended the cut in 2011 and 2012. Pelosi supported the payroll tax cut at the time.

The American people spoke out clearly and, thanks to President Obama’s leadership, 160 million Americans will continue to receive their payroll tax cut,” Pelosi said in a statement in 2011.
In 2012, Pelosi applauded the extension of Obama’s payroll tax cut as “a temporary measure to help give us a boost.”
