Once upon a time, House Democrats clamored to have former National Security Adviser John Bolton appear before several committees to grill him about ‘what he knew’ regarding a series of alleged ‘scandals’ involving President Donald Trump.
Of course, Democrats were demanding his testimony after he was fired by the president over a series of policy disagreements. At one point, Bolton claimed to have damning information about the president regarding his dealings with Ukraine – and the bogus impeachment – but he refused to comply with any subpoena short of a court order.

Vox reported:
Bolton was involved in “many relevant meetings and conversations that have not yet been discussed,” according toa letter to House attorneys Bolton’s lawyer Charles Cooper sent Friday. But Bolton will not testify until the completion of a lawsuit filed in October asking a judge to rule on whether witnesses should abide by the testimony requests of lawmakers or White House directives not to testify.
“We regret Mr. Bolton’s decision not to appear voluntarily, but we have no interest in allowing the administration to play rope-a-dope with us in the courts for months,” a House Intelligence Committee officialtold Politico. “Rather, the White House instruction that he not appear will add to the evidence of the president’s obstruction of Congress.”
Clearly, the Democrats wanted to hear from Bolton. But, as it turns out, Bolton’s refusal to testify may have had more to do with his plans to back-door the president and publish an alleged tell-all book that makes a number of allegations, all of them being refuted by the administration.
So, if the allegations contained in Bolton’s soon-to-be-released book are really true and are so damning, then how come Democrats now don’t want to put him under oath and get testimony from him?
Now would seem to be the opportunity time, wouldn’t it, since the book’s publication was not blocked this week by a federal judge, as the administration had requested.

House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) was asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper during an interview on “State of the Union” on Sunday, if the House would call Bolton to testify.
“No, we’re not interested in Bolton’s testimony,” Nadler responded.
He continued to say that Democrats believe Trump could have been impeached “on other grounds” such as an obstruction of justice charge.
“We chose to keep it simple, and Bolton who has — as we now know — that he could have offered and refused to offer — is certainly no one to talk,” Nadler added.
Translated, this means that Bolton doesn’t have any damning information on the president and what information he’s putting in his book is invalid as well.

How so? Because if we’re to believe all of the players and accept all of the moving parts as-is, Bolton is no friend of the Left, meaning he should be easy prey for partisan Democrats who are aching to find something, anything, they can charge Trump with that will stick.
And yet, now – when Bolton could testify under oath to the contents of his book – he’s not going to be called?
Yeah, Bolton’s tell-all is just the latest in a series of efforts by disgruntled former employees to bring down a president they despise and, in Bolton’s case, one who shunned his globalist nation-building.
