Psaki Mocks People Concerned About Border Crisis; “They Need Something More To Do”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was not happy when asked about Republicans attacking Kamala Harris for not visiting the U.S.-Mexico border.

During a press briefing, Psaki said Republicans “need more to do” instead of spending time attacking Harris for avoiding the border.

“Republicans have been quite critical of the vice president,” a reporter noted.

“I’ve seen that, and they need more to do, I think,” Psaki interjected.

“The confusion is perplexing to me,” Psaki said. “That’s obviously a role that’s focused on diplomacy, focused on working with these countries, with these leaders.”

“The current president, who was vice president, he ran point on the Northern Triangle when he was vice president,” she continued. “And that’s obviously a role that is focused on diplomacy.”

“The vice president has had a number of those conversations at the leader level,” Psaki said. “And having a discussion about what steps can be taken, whether it’s improving the personnel and the approach they each take at the border, we’ve seen some steps they’ve taken on that front, or whether it is working with them to determine how we can provide the best assistance to address the root causes over the long term.”

Psaki added that Harris’s diplomatic role is linked to her role at the border because if the root causes of the immigration crisis aren’t addressed, there will continue to be a large number of migrants crossing the border. She described the task of overseeing the border as not being “a one-woman job,” and added that United States Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas “is obviously playing a significant role.”

Biden announced on March 24 that Harris would lead the administration’s efforts at the border, and she has not visited one time to even hold a press event on the crisis.

And, just to be clear, NBC News published a report on March 24 titled: “Biden tasks Harris with ‘stemming the migration’ on southern border.”

Harris is 100% appointed to “handle” the border crisis and she has not visited the border one time since Biden named her.

The border crisis created by the Biden administration is about to get a lot worse in the coming months.

According to a report from CNN, internal government calculations from the Biden administration project that officials expect to encounter an estimated two million people at the border in 2021.

“US Border Patrol encounters are also expected to be largely made up of single adults, who are being turned away at the US southern border as soon as they’re encountered under a public health order, and as a result, might also account for repeat crossers,” CNN reported.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich says the only reason that Vice President Kamala Harris was put in charge of the border crisis was that everyone knew “she wouldn’t do anything” about it.

“If you look at a piece of history, sometimes the obvious is accurate,” Gingrich said during a segment on Fox News. “They wanted Harris to be in charge of the border because they knew she wouldn’t do anything. This is not a mistake, this is why they refuse to call it a crisis.”
