U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have reportedly been ordered not to arrest and deport certain illegal alien sex offenders.
During a Senate hearing with DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Missouri GOP Sen. Josh Hawley detailed two cases where ICE agents said they were told by top Department of Homeland Security officials not to arrest and deport convicted illegal alien sex offenders.
“‘It’s absolutely not true that ICE officers have been told not to arrest people,’ that’s what you said earlier today. That astounds me … ICE officers have asked me to ask you about the instructions your guidance has given them not to arrest individuals,” Hawley said.
For instance, the National ICE Council, that’s the ICE union, has asked me to ask you — because they can’t get answers from you so they’re asking me to do it — why ICE officers who have requested permission to go after an illegal alien who is convicted of sexual assault of a minor under 14 years of age were denied the ability to go and arrest this person. Sen. Lankford raised another case where ICE officers were directed not to pursue a previously deported alien who was convicted of indecency with a child by sexual contact and confined for five years. This is a registered sex offender and ICE officers were told not to remove this criminal alien.

In response, Mayorkas claimed that he could not “speak to cases without looking at the files and speaking to them with knowledge of the evidence and the facts.”
Earlier this week, a group of Republican senators revealed that the Biden administration spent over $2 billion to not build the border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
“President Biden is paying professional construction contractors to babysit metal to the tune of $2 billion and counting, while at the same time we’ve seen a 20-year high number of migrants crossing our open border,” said Oklahoma GOP Sen. James Lankford in a statement.
“It is absolutely absurd that Americans are paying contractors to guard metal gates that President Biden refuses to install because he wants to ‘study’ the wall,” he added.
The report, released by the Senate Republicans on July 23, reports that DOD contractors who received $10 billion in January were forced by changes in border policy to spend $2 billion of those taxpayer funds to “watch steel rust in the desert.”
The report adds that this money being wasted comes “directly from the DOD’s budget. “The Biden Administration’s continued waste of these funds poses risks to national security and border security,” the Republican lawmakers wrote in their report.
The investigation by the group of Republican senators says the initial cost of $6 million per day to not build the wall fell to about $3 million after contractors laid-off construction workers. “This means that the federal government is paying contractors on these seven projects $3 million per day to drive out to project sites and guard the unused pallets of steel and other construction materials,” the senators wrote.
The Joe Biden border crisis is getting worse by the day and most Americans probably have no idea just how bad things have gotten.
A new projection from Princeton Policy Advisors reveals that more than 1.8 million illegal immigrants are expected to cross the U.S.-Mexico border in 2021.
The group said it would mark the “worst ever” on record, which is another stunning reminder of how bad things have gotten under Joe Biden, the Washington Examiner reported.
