If you don’t follow NASCAR, you may not know who Bubba Wallace is. He’s the sport’s first top black driver, and he’s already made racing news by prodding the organization into making a virtue-signaling statement about ‘equality’ following the death of George Floyd and banning the display of the Confederate flag at races.
Now, he’s again at the center of a racial issue after someone reportedly found a ‘noose’ in his team garage at the Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.
The alleged incident sparked outrage in the NASCAR president, Steve Phelps, who threatened to ban the guilty party from the sport for life.
“Today’s despicable act of racism and hatred leaves me incredibly saddened and serves as a painful reminder of how much further we have to go as a society and how persistent we must be in the fight against racism,” he said in a statement posted online.
“Together our sport has made a commitment to driving real change and championing a community that is accepting and welcoming of everyone,” adding, “we will not be deterred by the reprehensible actions of those who seek to spread hate.

Now, granted, if a noose was found in the Wallace garage at Talladega on Sunday, as alleged, then by all means, the guilty party should be held responsible. To the end, the Justice Department is investigating as a possible hate crime.
But was it? Questions are being to swirl.
Others have been posting pictures from the speedway showing small ‘nooses’ at the end of ropes used to raise and help lower doors to the racers’ garages.
And the sleuths at Conservative Treehouse, who are myth busters and corruption exposers, also have their doubts, calling the incident a “purposeful hoax.”
Throughout the late evening and overnight hours we have been able to assemble definitive proofthe NASCAR story of a noose hanging in the garage of drive Bubba Wallace is a hoax.
When the race team of Bubba Wallace arrived at Talladega Speedway in Alabama, he was assigned to garage stall #4. After reviewing prior 2019 videoof that specific garage bay, at that specific speedway; and after reviewing a picture released yesterdayshowing the FBI investigators on the scene; it is clear the “rope noose” in question was nothing more than a manual garage door pull-down with a hand loop tied into it.

And in this video, taken from the race on Monday, you can clearly see the rope noose hanging fro a garage door in the stall of the No. 21 car:

“That is the ‘hand loop’ that was cut from the manual garage door rope and presented by the team of Bubba Wallace and NASCAR as evidence of a ‘noose’. This simple garage pull-down is what all of the racial stories have surrounded,” Conservative Treehouse noted.
