If there is one Republican woman who knows how horrible the ‘mainstream media’ can be, it’s former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

When she wasn’t getting trashed by the late Sen. John McCain and his people after his loss to Barack Obama in 2008, she was being pilloried right and left by a vindictive Democratic propagandist press.

With that in mind, Palin definitely has some advice for the very large incoming congressional class of GOP women: “Suck it up, cupcake!” – a reprise of her message to the garbage media after then-GOP presidential contender Donald Trump became the party’s nominee.

“It’s so important that these voters recognized their experience, their vision of what government actually should be, their records, their plans for what they will do in Congress,” Palin said of the 15 GOP women elected last week in an interview with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum.

“Don’t just kick these mama grizzlies to the side and only call them up when you need some fund-raising or you need something nice set about you or your policy,” Palin said.  “But utilize these women. They have such great amounts to offer this country. I’m very happy for them. And just really glad they had the guts to get out there and run.”

MacCallum noted that while many in the media pundit world call for more women in Congress, they mostly mean more left-wing women. She pointed to a fawning story by Rolling Stone about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and freshmen Democrat women following the 2018 election.

“Do you expect that Rolling Stone will do a cover of these Republican women, as well, to support women in office?” she asked Palin who immediately shook her head.

“If you’re a constitutional conservative female, no, you will be kind of shunned by the lamestream media, but that’s cool, that’s okay. You know it just makes you work a bit harder, it makes you certainly connect more with your constituents because they need to hear from you,” Palin said.

“You can’t expect the media will relay accurately your plans, your record, your life story.  So no, don’t expect that any of those publications will be friendly,” she added.  “But don’t whine about it, either. Suck it up, cupcake, and go do your job.”

Asked about her thoughts regarding Joe Biden’s running mate Sen. Kamala Harris possibly becoming the first female vice president, Palin said gender ought not be an issue.

“Well, my thoughts are I wish that I would have been the first female vice president. I wish that Republicans would have been able to hold the White House for those eight years,” Palin, who engaged in a debate with then-Sen. Joe Biden as vice-presidential candidates in 2008, told MacCallum.

“I’m not going to favor anybody based on their gender, so wait and see what Ms. Harris has to offer this country, if, in fact, they are elected,” she said.

As for the Trump campaign’s legal efforts challenging election results, Palin noted, “I hung in there with the administration and I’ll continue to do so until the very last vote is counted.”
