On Tuesday, at a press briefing, the State Department chose to change the language around illegal immigration, and instead referred to it as “irregular migration” Yes, the hordes entering the United States like this country has no sovereignty is definitely “irregular,” but it is also illegal, even if it seems, the laws are not being fully applied.

Jalina Porter, the Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the State Department started the press briefing by offering two updates. One of which was that concerning the expansion of the Central American Minors Program, which provides Honduran, Guatemalan, and Salvadoran children, access to the US Refugee Admissions Program.

“As we continue to develop and expand initiatives that provide a safe, legal, and orderly alternative to dangerous irregular migration, we are announcing today the second phase of the CAM reopening that will expand the ability of tens of thousands of U.S.-based individuals to petition for children to access the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program through CAM,” Porter indicated.

“Petitioner eligibility will now be extended to legal guardians, in addition to parents, who are lawfully present in the United States,” she continued. “This expansion will also allow certain parents and legal guardians who have a pending asylum application or a pending U visa petition, filed prior to May 15th, 2021, the ability to reunite with their children. This is just one component of the President’s multi-pronged approach to address the challenges of irregular migration through and from Central America.”

Leftist newspapers like The New York Times, Washington Post, and Politico have already been avoiding using the term “illegal” when referring to, in fact, illegal migrants. They are illegal, there is no way around it, unless the United States changes its immigration laws to “everyone welcome, no legal process necessary, just identify as an American citizen and you shall be accepted as one.”

These outlets have been using terms such as “undocumented;” it seems to make less people uncomfortable; it seems.

Former President Barack Obama, also used the term “undocumented” when referring to illegals. Speaking at a press conference, he said, “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently, and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

It seems however, that this position of not allowing people “to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently…” to be a radical position in 2021.
