If more Americans knew just how aligned against them the majority of government institutions – that they fund with their tax dollars – really are, it would be impossible for any lawmaker who wanted to remain in office to ignore their calls to defund them.

That includes National Public Radio.

The network, a quarter of which is partially funded by taxpayers, has announced it will not broadcast or publish any of the now-corroborated claims of corruption against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, because it would be a “waste” of time and a “distraction” from…anti-Trump propaganda.

The Daily Caller reported

“NPR Public Editor,” a newsletter written by Polynter’s Kelly McBride, addressed a question wondering “why NPR has apparently not reported on the Joe Biden, Hunter Biden story in the last week or so.” The story, first published by the New York Post last week, allegedly came from an abandoned laptop belonging to Hunter Biden.

McBride, the NPR Public Editor and Chair of the Craig Newmark Center for Ethics and Leadership at The Poynter Institute, began by writing that “there are many, many red flags in that New York Post investigation,” linking to an NPR piece detailing the issues. “The biggest reason” that NPR has ignored the story, however, “is the the assertions don’t amount to much,” McBride wrote.

“We don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don’t want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions,” NPR Managing Editor for News Terence Samuel said, according to the newsletter. “And quite frankly, that’s where we ended up, this was … a politically driven event and we decided to treat it that way.”

That is, frankly, unbelievable – and were it not in print, it would be more difficult to sell to most Americans than allegations that, after nearly 50 years in public office, Joe Biden is a swamp creature.

Who’d have guessed it?

Let’s be clear, here: The original Post stories contained documented, credible evidence of the alleged corruption extracted from a laptop that Hunter Biden dropped off, and then forgot about, at a computer repair shop in Delaware.

After failing to return to pick up the repaired computer after 90 days, per the work order agreement he signed, the owner of the shop, John Mac Isaac, claimed ownership and began downloading the hard drive.

He didn’t like what he saw so he contacted some people. They contacted some people. The FBI got involved. The FBI got the original computer, but not before Isaac made several copies.

Now, we learn that the FBI confiscated the computer as part of a money-laundering investigation that, reportedly, involved…Hunter Biden.

Oh, and then there is the Biden insider and former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, issued a statement late Wednesday attesting to the Post’s reports linking Joe and Hunter Biden to business deals involving some transfers of money from foreign entities that were marked as potentially illegal by federal agencies.

But to taxpayer-supported NPR, there’s ‘nothing to see here.’

If ever there was a better excuse to pull all taxpayer funding from this semi-official Democrat propaganda outlet, we can’t think of one.
