Governor Abbot of Texas recently announced during a press conference that, as a way of exposing Team Biden to the problems it has created by opening up the border to illegals, would be bussing those illegals that volunteered on charter buses from Texas to D.C. At the time, Governor Abbott said:
“With the Biden administration ending Title 42 expulsions in May, Texas will be taking its own unprecedented actions this month to do what no state in America has ever done in the history of this country to better secure our state, as well as our nation.
“To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed with hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington, D.C.
“We are sending them to the United States capital where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border.”
Hilarious stuff. What’s better is that, while many thought he was joking, it turns out he was telling the truth and is already starting the program and shipping the illegals to the capital!
News on that comes from Fox, which reported that TDEM (the Texas Division of Emergency Management) has begun sending buses to border communities to pick up migrants and start shipping them across the country to D.C. Fox also quoted Seth Christensen, the chief of media and communications for TDEM, as saying:
“In the last 24 hours, TDEM has dispatched buses to areas where communities have expressed concerns about the federal government dropping off migrants and has the capability to send as many as is necessary to fulfill the requests from mayors and county judges.”
Mr. Christensen also added that the program has already proven effective in stopping Slow Joe’s agents from dropping illegals in certain Texas communities, saying:
“From the [Rio Grande Valley] to Terrell County, a large majority of the communities that originally reached out for support through this operation have now said that the federal government has stopped dropping migrants in their towns since the governor’s announcement on Wednesday.”
It remains to be seen how many illegal immigrants Texas will actually end up sending to D.C., as the program is still in its early stages. Fox reports that TDEM is all in on implementing it to the largest degree necessary, saying “W. Nim Kidd, chief of the Texas Division of Emergency Management, said at the time that his agency will “use as many buses as we need” to follow Abbott’s directive.”
So, if that’s true, perhaps we’ll see the “trucker convoy” replaced with the “busloads full of Team Biden’s illegal immigrants convoy”. It doesn’t have quite the same ring to it but might prove even more embarrassing in humiliating Slow Joe and his utter trainwreck of an administration.
