The conservative majority of Fox News’ “The Five” were incredulous on Wednesday at a claim made by contributor and noted Leftist Donna Brazile when she claimed there is no constitutional right “to lie.”

The debate was already getting heated as the panel began to discuss Twitter’s abominable ‘fact-check’ of President Donald Trump’s claims that California mail-in ballots are often fraudulent.

“This whole fact-checking thing is designed as a way to tackle misinformation which would be good if there was a balance,” observed co-host Greg Gutfeld, following the president’s criticism of Trump’s criticism of the social media behemoth.

“But we do know from research that the news media is about 90 percent liberal, so the right generally is over-policed daily compared to the left,” he added.

“Free speech is something that Americans cherish, American companies should cherish and there was no need for Twitter to get involved yesterday,” co-host Dana Perino, who interviewed Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg earlier, said next. “Why fact-check that particular tweet? There are hundreds of tweets that you could choose.”

Co-host Jesse Watters chimed in, adding, “This whole think is so cooked up,” adding that by attempting to fact-check Trump was “almost helping” him.

That set Brazile off.

“I get so sick and tired of hearing all of the whining,” Brazile reacted. “All of this whining. Jesus Christ, Jesse, I wish I could send you some tissue but I have to be six feet from you so therefore I would have to throw it at you,” she said, according to The Daily Caller.

Continuing, Brazile complained about “conspiracy theories” and the president’s alledge lies expressed in tweets. She went on to say that if she had her way, she would have “deleted” the president’s tweets, especially those regarding MSNBC host Joe Scarborough’s deceased congressional intern and the mail-in ballots.

“There’s no First Amendment right to lie. Period,” Brazile asserted, leaving the rest of the panel momentarily stunned and silent.

“You can’t lie?” Gutfeld finally responded.

“Well, actually, you can,” Perino insisted, as the panel laughed.

“There is no First Amendment right to lie. There’s no First Amendment right to lie. You just go ahead and lie,” said Brazile.

“I can say I’m six feet tall. Are you going to have me arrested?” Gutfeld joked.

“What would happen to politicians, Donna? If you couldn’t lie, you’d have no politics,” he added.

The segment came to an end with Brazile sticking to her guns – apparently completely unaware of the fact that, if lying wasn’t ‘allowed’ on social media, her former employer, CNN, and most of the mainstream media would have been de-platformed long ago for making up things about the Trump administration and perpetuating the ‘Russian collusion’ lie.

Which brings us to Twitter’s ‘fact-check’ of Trump. The platform’s speech nannies cited CNN, the Washington Post, “and others” who have supposedly debunked Trump’s assertion that mail-in balloting can lead to vote fraud.

Even as reports surfaced that people have been prosecuted (and recently) for mail-in vote fraud.

As to Brazile’s point of view, it’s worth noting that yet another Leftist wants to claim the authority to police speech they have ‘declared’ to be untrue.
