The National Football League rushed to issue a statement following the verdict in the George Floyd murder trial on Tuesday. Not surprisingly, it once again championed the agenda of the militant Black Lives Matter movement.

Following the Minneapolis jury’s unanimous decision to find former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of murdering Floyd despite a persuasive case by the defense, the political left rejoiced as his bail was revoked and he was hauled off to prison and the NFL joined in on the celebration.

In a missive from the league’s official Twitter account, the NFL remarked that “Mr. George Floyd should be here with us today,” a message to fans that the divisive far-left politics of BLM are now firmly entrenched at NFL headquarters and that there is no going back to the way that things used to be.

The statement also says that “Our hearts remain with the Floyd family, and we understand the pain, anger and frustration does not go away even when justice is delivered.” That so-called “justice” came courtesy of a jury that was intimidated and threatened and faced having their lives ruined by the mob had they delivered anything less than the maximum guilty verdict.

The NFL’s statement also reiterated its commitment to Black Lives Matter and the radical left; “Importantly, even as we identify reasons for hope, we must continue to help move our society toward a more equal and just tomorrow,” the league said, “We are proud to partner with NFL players and clubs and remain committed to do the important work needed to make positive change in our society.”

Individual NFL teams also issued their own statements:

Following Floyd’s unfortunate death last summer at a time when numerous U.S. cities were consumed by violent rioting and looting, the NFL rushed to support the mob by condemning the “systematic oppression of black people” and apologizing to the kneelers in a recorded statement by Commissioner Roger Goodell that was eerily reminiscent to an ISIS hostage video.

Goodell’s bending the knee by issuing an unconditional surrender to the mob realigned the NFL with the BLM agenda two years after the 2017 dumpster fire when its support of radical former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the divisive anti-American, anti-police national anthem protests led to tanked ratings, empty stadium sets and alienated fans.

The league wisely chose to pay off Kaepernick and BLM by settling a lawsuit with the former and paying hush money in the form of “social justice” donations to the latter but Floyd’s death opened to door to even more in-your-face virtue signaling by the NFL.

In addition to playing two national anthems before the opening week’s games with one for black people and one for whites, Goodell and his crusaders allowed BLM propaganda to be painted in end zones and worn on player’s helmets. There was also the suggestion by many prominent players that millions of the league’s white fans just might be racists, not exactly a recipe for long-term marketing success.

With the 2021 NFL Draft taking place this week, the league’s statement on the Floyd verdict is a message to fans that if they will be force-fed leftist politics again this year and every year until league management is changed.
