Top House Dem Jerrold Nadler Shuns Bolton: 'We're Not Interested' In His Testimony'

If John Bolton was expecting a lifeline to be thrown to him by the Democrats he just got some very bad news.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler dropped an anvil on the disgraced former national security adviser's head when he went on CNN and stated that if Bolton wants to testify against President Trump it won't be before his committee.
Bolton's gossip-filled manifesto of revenge The Room Where It Happened is scheduled for a Tuesday release but has already been provided to nearly every media outlet in the land that like the mustachioed one, has an ax to grind with Trump.
During a chat with Jake Tapper on CNN's "State Of The Union" the topic of Bolton's possible testimony came up only to be quickly smacked down by Nadler.
Via The Washington Examiner, "Jerry Nadler: 'We're not interested in Bolton's testimony'":
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler said he would not call in former national security adviser John Bolton to testify about his claims about President Trump in his new book.
Emphasizing that Bolton should have testified during the House impeachment investigation last year if he was serious about telling the truth to Congress, the New York Democrat told CNN on Sunday that another round of impeachment this year would be a dead end.
"We’re not interested in Bolton’s testimony," Nadler told State of the Union.
In his memoir, The Room Where It Happened, Bolton accused Nadler and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff of "impeachment malpractice" by not focusing on Trump's behavior beyond the Ukraine scandal. Trump was impeached by the Democratic-led House last year and was acquitted by the GOP-controlled Senate in February.
Nadler and other impeachment-obsessed Democrats were foaming at the mouth to get Bolton in the witness chair last year but were rejected while the disgruntled former White House employee was out shopping his book deal to publishers.
Justice Department efforts to prevent the release of The Room Where It Happened were defeated on Saturday when a federal judge refused to intervene, partly because there was no way to stop the book since it had already been provided to the media.
But Judge Royce Lamberth's ruling didn't let the warmongering neocon off the hook, crushing him as a man who gambled with the nation's national security while leaving the door open for criminal charges.
“Defendant Bolton has gambled with the national security of the United States. He has exposed his country to harm and himself to civil (and potentially criminal) liability”
President Trump took to Twitter to react the the ruling, and in a bad sign for Bolton, he indicated that there will be a "price to pay" for his running to a publisher to get revenge after being fired.
"BIG COURT WIN against Bolton. Obviously, with the book already given out and leaked to many people and the media, nothing the highly respected Judge could have done about stopping it...BUT, strong & powerful statements & rulings on MONEY & on BREAKING CLASSIFICATION were made....
...Bolton broke the law and has been called out and rebuked for so doing, with a really big price to pay. He likes dropping bombs on people, and killing them. Now he will have bombs dropped on him!"
It is expected that Bolton's win by getting his book out in the public sphere will be a temporary victory at best and that he could soon be facing serious legal consequences for his gambling with the nation's security to settle a score.
You know that Bolton has burned his bridges when Nadler and the Dems are no longer willing to roll out the red carpet but it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
