Fox News obtained security footage timestamped Monday September 1st, which showed Nancy Pelosi ignoring San Francisco’s Covid-19 rules. The video shows Pelosi walking through a hair salon without a mask, and with wet hair; suggesting she was there getting her hair done.

Nancy Pelosi is not only the leader of the House of Representatives; she also represents California’s 12th Congressional District which includes San Francisco.

Due to Coronavirus concerns, San Francisco has had strict rules imposed on its residents for months. Beauty Salons have been closed since March, and salon owners were only notified recently that they could reopen for outdoor services in September. Pelosi, however, who has been lecturing the public about mask wearing, seems to think the rules do not apply to her.

The Salon owner, did not take to kindly to this first indoor client:

Salon owner Erica Kious, in a phone interview with Fox News on Tuesday, shared details of Pelosi’s visit. Kious explained she has independent stylists working for her who rent chairs in her salon.

“One of the stylists who rents a chair from me contacted me Sunday night,” Kious said.

A screengrab of the text message she received from one of her stylists, and obtained by Fox News, said: “I’ll be there at 2:45 tomorrow. Pelosi assistant just messaged me to do her hair.”

Kious replied: “Pelosi?”

“I was like, are you kidding me right now? Do I let this happen? What do I do?” Kious told Fox News, while noting that she “can’t control” what her stylists do if they rent chairs from her, as “they’re not paying” at this time.

Kious cast Pelosi’s visit as a double standard.

The owner went on to say that the House Speaker coming in was “like a slap in the face.”

She notes that it’s wrong that Pelosi feels like she can just come to her salon, get her hair done, but no one else can. Kious recounts that the politician received a wash and a blow dry,She added that she “couldn’t believe” Pelosi was not wearing a mask.

Ms. Kious told Fox that she had to share her story because of what her industry is going through right now:

“We have been shut down for so long, not just me, but most of the small businesses and I just can’t – it’s a feeling – a feeling of being deflated, helpless and honestly beaten down,” Kious said.

“I have been fighting for six months for a business that took me 12 years to build to reopen,” she explained. “I am a single mom, I have two small children, and I have no income.”

She added: “The fact that they did this, and she came in, it’s like a slap in the face.”

On Wednesday, President Trump heard the owner’s complaints and recognized the hypocrisy of the democratic leadership, taking to Twitter to criticize Pelosi.

He wrote: “Crazy Nancy Pelosi is being decimated for having a beauty parlor opened, when all others are closed, and for not wearing a Mask–despite constantly lecturing everyone else. We will almost certainly take back the House, and send Nancy packing!”

Pelosi and her team have gone on the defense, and accused the owner of setting her up, despite the fact that the democratic leader has been lecturing the public for months about wearing a mask and following the rules of the lockdown – it just seems the rules were not necessarily meant for her.

Trump also went on to tweet that “the beauty parlor owner must really dislike Crazy Nancy Pelosi. Turning her in, on tape, is a really big deal.

After being in lockdown for months and having to struggle for a small business to survive, it comes as no surprise that the owner felt anger at the House Speaker’s evident duplicity.

We have also seen similar behaviors from other democratic politicians; namely New York Governor Andrew Cuomo walking his dog without a mask, New York City Bill De Blasio going to a gym in New York, and Chicago Mayor going to a hairstylist in a city where no one else is allowed to.

It’s very evident that the rules apply to some more equally than others.
