Shortly after Department of Justice prosecutors recommended that longtime Trump associate Roger Stone serve a 7-9 year prison sentence for process crimes, President Donald Trump went nuclear, aiming his sights on Tony Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign manager's brother.

"Whatever happened to Hillary campaign manager Podesta’s BROTHER?" President Trump tweeted while calling out the total hypocrisy. "Wasn’t he caught, forced to leave his firm, with BIG BAD things to happen? Why did nothing ever happen to him, only to the “other” side?"

Back in September, the corrupt prosecutors ended their investigation into Podesta, giving him immunity to testify against Paul Manafort.

Manafort, who committed a similar crime, was sentenced to jail while Podesta walked away.

“In other words, for a near identical crime, Bill and Hillary’s friend could escape and emerge completely unscathed while Paul Manafort may rot in jail. Only one of them made the mistake of chairing Donald Trump’s presidential campaign,” Fox News host Tucker Carlson said at the time.

During his prime time show on Tuesday evening, Carlson called for a pardon for Roger Stone who was recommended a nine year sentence by Department of Justice prosecutors.

Carlson shredded the recommendation, saying that Stone's sentence was comparable to sentences for rapists, robbers and people convicted of violent assault.

The segment started with Carlson playing a clip of Senator Elizabeth Warren shredding the Justice Department for reconsidering the original excessive prison sentence.

“That is Elizabeth Warren, failing and bitter in New Hampshire and, like so many on the left, howling for Roger Stone to die in prison,” Carlson said. “A 67-year-old man with no criminal record caught up in the Russia hoax, farce, caught up in an investigation that proved to be fruitless.”

“He’s looking at nine years behind bars,” the Fox News host added. “Do you know what the average rapist does in this country? We checked today. Four years. Do you know what the average armed robber gets? Three years. The average thug who violently assaults somebody? Less than a year and a half. But the left, CNN as well, demanding that Roger Stone dies in prison. Hmm. This man needs a pardon.”

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, like Warren, is upset that Stone may not get the prison sentence that rapists get.

After President Trump tweeted about how bogus the prison sentence for Stone was, Pelosi announced that an investigation should be opened into the President for engaging in "political interference."

“By tweet [President Trump] engaged in political interference in the sentencing of Roger Stone,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a tweet. “It is outrageous that DOJ has deeply damaged the rule of law by withdrawing its recommendation. Stepping down of prosecutors should be commended & actions of DOJ should be investigated.”

Like Carlson, President Trump clearly feels that the recommended prison sentence is extremely disproportionate to the "crime" Stone committed.

“This is a horrible and very unfair situation,” President Trump tweeted. “The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!”

“All starting to unravel with the ridiculous 9 year sentence recommendation!” the president later tweeted once it was announced that the Department of Justice would reduce the wild nine year sentence.

“And a swamp creature with ‘pull’ was just sentenced to two months in jail for a similar thing that they want Stone to serve 9 years for. A phony Mueller Witch Hunt disgrace. Caught!” President Trump also tweeted.
