Older Americans will remember the classic Tootsie Pop cartoon commercial involving a young boy who brings one to a ‘wise old owl’ and asks, “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?”

The wise old owl opens the pop and starts licking and counting – biting into it after the third lick because he wants to get to the tasty Tootsie Roll center.

“Three!” he ‘wisely’ declares.

Only, he took an obvious shortcut, didn’t he? Well, that was the point of the commercial; ‘some things are just too good to wait for.

The classic commercial scenario is the diametric opposite of the situation involving President Donald Trump and the number of times it’ll take to convince some Americans that he’s not a ‘white supremacist,’ a ‘racist,’ or a ‘bigot’ – and that he has denounced same time after time after time.

Thus, “How many disavowing statements does it take to get to President Trump to get to the center of a hater’s brain before they’ll believe him?”

The answer is – we may never know the answer because some people refuse to be convinced they can’t wait for the political ‘good stuff’ to hit him over the head with as the November election approaches.

But for the record – yes, there is a record on this – the president hasn’t just disavowed white supremacy, the KKK (which was founded by Democrats and had a former member of the hate group in the U.S. Senate – Robert Byrd – until 2010), and racism a couple of times.

He’s disavowed more than 20 times, and that’s just in recent years (and this week…again).

The Post Millennial reports:

“Trump is a Racist” has been trending on Twitter following Tuesday’s presidential debates, despite President Donald Trump denouncing white supremacy and white nationalists again and again over the years, revealing that the mainstream media has traded what is true for what they want to believe.

Twitter user James Klüg posted a video on Twitter Wednesday evening, stitching together 17 times Trump has publicly denounced white supremacy and white nationalism over the years.

Most alarming is that virtually every major liberal news outlet is featured interviewing Trump at some point, showing that he has openly denounced extremist behavior and even expressed his discontent with receiving votes from said extremists.

CNN’s Jake Tapper has said of Trump, “Elsewhere in those remarks the President did condemn neo-Nazis and white supremacists. So he’s not saying that the neo-Nazis and white supremacists are very fine people.”

Trump himself said on August 15, 2017: “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists—because they should be condemned totally.”

Trump said again Feb. 21, 2017: “The anti-Semitic threats targeting our Jewish community and community centers are horrible and are painful and a very sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil.”

On April 11, 2017, President Trump said: “Recent threats targeting Jewish community centers and vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, as well as last week’s shooting in Kansas City, remind us that while we may be a nation divided on policies, we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all of its very ugly forms.”

On August 11, 2018, he said: “The riots in Charlottesville a year ago resulted in senseless death and division… I condemn all types of racism and acts of violence.”

Speaking of Charlotte, the abject lie that he characterized both ‘anti-fascist’ demonstrators and white supremacists at that protest as “fine people” has been debunked literally dozens of times since the 2017 incident.

Maybe at some point the garbage media will ask Biden what he thinks about white supremacist/nationalist Richard Spencer’s endorsement.
