Trump Legal Team Blasts 'Brazen And Unlawful' Impeachment In Blistering Rebuke Of Dems

In the waning hours before the Democrats' scam impeachment moves to the Senate, President Trump's legal team unloaded with both barrels.

In a response to a summons from House Democrats, the president's attorneys blasted the upcoming trial as a “brazen and unlawful attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 election and interfere with the 2020 election, now just months away.”

Trump's lawyers also condemned what the described as a “dangerous attack on the right of the American people to freely choose their president” which pretty accurately describes efforts to disenfranchise 63 million Americans whose votes will be nullified.

VOTE NOW: Do you OPPOSE or SUPPORT impeachment?

The explosive rebuttal comes on the weekend before opening arguments will be heard in what is only the third impeachment in the nation's history as well as the most toxic in terms of purely partisan political hatred of the duly elected POTUS.

Via The Hill, "Trump lawyers attack House impeachment as 'brazen and unlawful' effort to overturn 2016 results":

President Trump’s legal team on Saturday declared the impeachment articles approved by the House “constitutionally invalid” and accused House Democrats of a “brazen and unlawful attempt” to overturn the results of the 2016 presidential election.

The president’s team of lawyers — led by White House counsel Pat Cipollone and Trump personal attorney Jay Sekulow — submitted a six-page answer to the summons notifying the president of the Senate impeachment trial Saturday evening.

The filing launches a broadside against the House impeachment process, while denying the charges against the president and casting the articles as an “affront” to the Constitution, democratic institutions and the American people. The president’s lawyers urge the Senate to reject the charges.

“The articles of impeachment submitted by House Democrats are a dangerous attack on the right of the American people to freely choose their president,” the president’s lawyers argue in their first formal response to the Senate.

“This is a brazen and unlawful attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 election and interfere with the 2020 election — now just months away,” they write.

The president's attorneys also make it clear that the process has been "rigged" besides unconstitutional and most importantly, lacking of any evidence of any high crimes and misdemeanors.

The document which can be read on the White House's official website calls for the rejection of both articles of impeachment.

The blistering legal filing is the initial response to the House's 111-page document that is chock full of anti-Trump innuendo and relies heavily on the testimony of bitter unelected bureaucrats whining that the president and not them get to set foreign policy including in Ukraine.

When the trail officially opens, Democrats and their media toadies will engage in a 24/7 blitzkrieg to demand that witnesses unfriendly to the president be compelled to appear while not allowing those who whose testimony would bolster Trump's case and blow the lid off of the cauldron of corruption at the American embassy in Kiev under the Obama regime.

Among those that the coup plotters will be demanding to be heard is shady Ukrainian-America businessman Lev Parnas, a past associate of Rudy Giuliani who despite a dubious history, has become the new Michael Cohen to the anti-Trump movement.

The brief from the president's attorneys should be proof that Trump is not going to go down without a fight and this time its going to get really ugly.
