Trump’s Approval Skyrocketed While Dems Bored Everyone With Impeachment Arguments

President Donald Trump has said he's not worried about Democratic House Managers spending three days last week laying out their case against him.
And after a new poll shows that his approval rating skyrocketed during the process, he might just hope Democrats keep talking.
According to Daily Wire, Trump has seen a strong jump in his approval numbers since the impeachment trial began last Tuesday in the U.S. Senate.
“President Trump’s approval rating has climbed to match the highest of his presidency, boosted by majority approval of his economic stewardship even as Americans remain deeply divided on whether the Senate should remove him from office, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll," the Daily Wire reported.
Trump hit 44 percent overall approval ratings from Americans, which is up significantly from his 38 percent number in October.
There were several other bits of interesting data within the latest poll, including another significantly higher number regarding the way the president has handled and managed the American economy.
Trump scored 56 percent approval rating on the way he handles the economy, which is up a staggering 10 points since September of last year and marks the highest scored number since he took office.
“The findings suggest the country’s strong economy and heightened support from men and independents are helping Trump weather an impeachment trial in which Democrats have argued Trump abused his presidential powers and obstructed a congressional investigation of his actions,” the article read.
While Democrats still desperately want Americans to believe President Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy and must be removed from office -- the numbers show that hardly anyone cares.
Nine million Americans tuned in for the opening day of Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate — which aired across six cable and broadcast television networks.
While that number sounds impressive off of the top, when compared to the televised House hearings last year -- in which several rounds of witnesses provided live testimony -- the numbers are lower by several million.
Tuesday’s Senate impeachment trial lasted a mind-numbing 13 hours and consisted of countless arguments between both sides, with Democrats pushing a series of attempts to amend the rules set for the trial by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The trial was so boring and difficult to watch that most cable news networks -- including left-wing CNN and MSNBC -- stopped showing the trial live and aired more of it’s routine programming with periodic check-ins on the Senate floor.
One of the only noteworthy moments came when House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff had quite the slip of the tongue on Wednesday and admitted the real reason why Democrats are trying so hard to remove the president.
While speaking from the Senate floor, Schiff revealed that Democrats’ partisan impeachment is about stopping President Donald Trump from being re-elected.
Quite amazing to see him so openly brag that Democrats do not want the upcoming election decided by actual voters.
