The Biden campaign and Democrats, in general, have accused President Donald Trump for months of planning to declare an early victory on Election Day as a way of suppressing turnout for his challenger and his far-left party.

But you know how Democrats are: They always, always accuse their political opponents of what they themselves are doing or planning to do. More on that in a moment.

Regarding the president, he made it clear ahead of the polls closing on Tuesday that he had no plans to “play games” with the election results by trying to declare victory early on.

IJR.com has more details:

President Donald Trump says there is “no reason to play games” with declaring victory in the 2020 presidential election prematurely.

Americans are heading to polling stations on Tuesday to cast their ballots for who they would like to see as president. Trump is vying for reelection against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Speaking with “Fox & Friends” Tuesday morning by phone, the president said he is feeling “very good.”

He was also asked about a recent report suggesting he would declare victory prematurely, to which he responded that he will declare victory “when there’s victory. If there’s victory.”

A tired-sounding Trump then said, “There’s no reason to play games,” adding that he believes there is a “solid chance” of winning reelection.

The president should feel good about his chances. Everywhere he has campaigned over the last several weeks, he’s been mobbed; tens of thousands of supporters at a time, often, crowd in to see him or try to see him. In fact, it certainly appears as though crowds in 2020 have been even bigger and more raucous in support than in 2016, in many cases.

So – why should the president “play games?” In fact, some, including House Speaker Newt Gingrich, are predicting a Trump blowout.

But whether that materializes or not, what is clear is that the Biden camp appears to want to ‘play games’ with the election results.

As reported by the Post Millennial:

Jen O’Malley Dillon, Joe Biden’s Campaign manager, considers a Trump victory an impossibility so much so that even were he declared the winner on election night, Biden would not accept it.

While giving an update on the status of the campaign’s chances for victory on Monday, Dillion and the Biden campaign outlined Biden’s path toward 270 electoral votes and the Oval Office. Dillion warned against possible assertions on election night that might make Trump look like had gained the upper hand. That, she suggested, would be misinformation.

“Just because Donald Trump says something on election night or suggests he might be winning, that is not going to be based in fact,” she said. “Under no scenario will Donald Trump be declared the victor on election night.”

This election has become the most consequential in the history of our nation, save for the election of 1960, which preceded (triggered?) the secession of Southern states and the resulting Civil War.

No matter what our differences in terms of political and public policies, no American should desire that.

The president obviously does not.
