Few prime-time cable news hosts are able to get to the nub of today’s issues better than Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.
Yes, all Fox News hosts during prime time are great people, great communicators, and excellent journalists who have an uncanny ability to find and report the most important stories of the day.
But Carlson seems to be in a class of his own, and his ratings prove it.

During the recent rioting, demonstrations, and protests stemming from the unfortunate death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police, Carlson’s program was the highest-rated in all of cable news, and it wasn’t even close.
In fact, the closest anyone came to his numbers also work for Fox News.
According to the Daily Caller, which Tucker co-founded:
Carlson’s 8:00 p.m. (eastern time) show averaged roughly four million viewers during the week of June 8, edging out fellow Fox News primetime host Sean Hannity, who averaged roughly 3.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Fox News had the three highest-rated primetime hosts during that week, as Laura Ingraham finished third, averaging roughly 3.5 million viewers. Carlson also led in the crucial age 25-54 demographic, averaging roughly 680,000 viewers, followed by Hannity and Ingraham, who averaged roughly 633,000 and 621,000 viewers in the demographic, respectively.
Additionally, Hannity was able to extend his ratings winning streak to 66 weeks over fellow primetime host Rachel Maddow of MSNBC. Maddow’s show averaged roughly 2.8 million viewers, including roughly 431,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic.
Most of the rest of MSNBC is garbage, as is CNN, and their lousy ratings prove that.
But Carlson has earned his viewership. His poignant observations and commentary are cutting edge. His insight is unparalleled. And his ability to paint pictures and tell the story in a way that is both compelling and honest is the perfect combination of genius and freshness – two qualities solely lacking on most other networks not named Fox News (though Newmax TV and One America News certainly get higher-than-honorable mentions).
That includes some of his more recent observations regarding the Leftist ‘outrage mobs’ that utilize social media to demonize and proselytize against their political enemies, now to the point of shaming them into silence.
“At this point, we’re becoming North Korea,” Carlson said on his show recently. “We now believe in blood guilt. We punish people for the sins of their relatives. We don’t allow individuals to have private thoughts. We hurt anyone who disagrees with orthodoxy. We demand that the innocent plead guilty to things we know they didn’t do, and then read their confessions in public to prove they’ve been re-educated. And then we brag about doing all of this.”

He’s absolutely right, of course. The Left-wing Marxist mobs that have been given life and legitimacy by the pathetic Washington establishment media following highly politicized and incorrectly reported incidents are creating a climate of fear and loathing no different than if a dictator had taken over the country.
Now, more than ever, we need journalists like Tucker Carlson and the truth he regularly speaks.
