President Joe Biden has no clue what he is doing. The president is taking so long to make decisions in Afghanistan that the United States military was forced to give him a deadline to make a decision.

A good leader must be decisive and President Biden has made it crystal clear that he has no clue what is going on.

According to CNN, the military was forced to tell Biden that he needs to make up his mind by Tuesday, August 24, if the 6,000 troops left in Afghanistan should stay or leave beyond the August 31 deadline set by the Taliban.

“If the President agrees, the military anticipates ‘a few more days’ of trying to evacuate as many people as possible before the drawdown of US forces begins, possibly at the end of this week,” CNN reported.

On Tuesday, Biden was asked about what he would do if US allies urged him to extend the deadline. He responded with, “We’ll see what we can do.”

While speaking with Sky News on Tuesday, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallaceit said it was “unlikely” the August 31 deadline would be extended, noting, “As we get closer it’s correct to say the security risk goes up, it gets more and more dangerous. Add-on groups and other terrorist groups like ISIS would like to be seen taking credit, would like to be seen chasing the West out of Afghanistan — that will feed their narrative and ambitions.”

“The Taliban control the outer ring outside the airport, which makes it harder for ISIS to get through and they’re certainly no friends of the Taliban. But we’re very vulnerable should a terrorist choose to do something,” he added.

While Biden continues to think that he will be able to extend the August 31st deadline, the Taliban is saying the date is a “red line.”

“There’s discussions going on among us and the military about extending,” Biden said of a deadline extension. “Our hope is we will not have to extend, but there are going to be discussions, I suspect, on how far along we are in the process.”

Biden claimed, “We discussed a lot with the Taliban. They’ve been cooperative in extending some of the perimeter,” adding, “So far the Taliban has not taken action against U.S. forces. So far they have, by and large, followed through on what they said in terms of Americans to pass through, and the like. And I’m sure they don’t control all of their forces. It’s a rag tag force.”

Taliban spokesperson Dr. Suhail Shaheen threatened the US, saying, “It’s a red line. President Biden announced that on 31 August they would withdraw all their military forces. So if they extend it that means they are extending occupation while there is no need for that. … If the U.S. or UK were to seek additional time to continue evacuations — the answer is no. Or there would be consequences.”

Shaheen continued, “It will create mistrust between us. If they are intent on continuing the occupation, it will provoke a reaction.”
