During an interview with Fox and Friends, Joe Biden's campaign chair Cedric Richmond compared President Trump voters to David Duke voters.
"There's concern and there's talk of secret Trump voters. I just want to tell you, I'm from Louisiana there's nothing I need to learn about secret voters," Richmond started.
"We had David Duke on the ballot running for governor of the state of Louisiana," he said. "He was polling at one number and he came in at a higher number because people didn't want to tell a live poster that they were for the guy with bad character and the klansmen. And so what we saw in the 2016 was that the touchstone polls were more accurate because people didn't want to be judged. And so we're doing it the polling in several different methods and I don't believe that there's this cadre of secret Trump voters out there. By the way, if they were and the polls were exactly wrong the same percent that they were with Clinton, Biden would still win because his lead is that big."
The strong progressive rhetoric from the Biden campaign has been increasing in recent months as the 2020 election gets closer.
One example of this harsh rhetoric came earlier in the month when Biden claimed that the police force has "become the enemy" and that the United States should "absolutely" cut and redirect funding going forward.
The comments from the former Vice President came during a virtual interview with health care activist Ady Barkan.
In 2016, Barkan was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and is now forced to speak through a computer voice.
In the interview, Biden appeared to fall to the far-left agenda as he admitted that he would "absolutely" support the cutting of police funds adding that the police have "become the enemy."
“Surplus military equipment for law enforcement. They don’t need that! The last thing you need is an up-armored Humvee coming into a neighborhood just like the military invading!” Biden said. “They don’t know anybody! They have become the enemy — they’re supposed to be protecting these people.”
After being asked by Barkan if he would redirect police money, Biden said “Yes! Absolutely!”
