CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve broadcast has been devolving into a live broadcast of a drunkfest for years now, but the program took an even more bizarre twist during this year’s show on Thursday.
In addition to watching the hosts get tanked as the evening wore on, co-host Andy Cohen added hard drugs to the line-up this year.

“Have you ever done acid?” Cohen asked co-host Anderson Cooper live on the air.
Cooper said no, he hadn’t done that before.
“Well, it’s time; we’re doing it tonight,” Cohen insisted as Cooper shook his head, denying his offer. “You’re coming over after the show.”
The pair had several amusing moments from Thursday night’s broadcasting, including when Cohen called out New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, demanding he do “something with this city!”
“That’s how I felt when I saw Mayor de Blasio dancing just now,” Cohen told Cooper after downing a shot of tequila. “I just don’t need to see that at the beginning of 2021. Do something with this city! Honestly, get it together!”
Later, Cohen implored the increasingly unpopular and gargantuan hypocrite Bill de Blasio – who ordered everyone else out of Times Square this year because of the pandemic – to “do something” with the city (like, maybe, let it reopen).

“I’ll be tiptoeing back to Bravo in about 20 minutes,” Cohen, a host on the network, said after an awkward silence. “While I have this platform, I got some other stuff I want to say too.”
