Even with control of the Senate, Democrats have been checked in their pursuit of total power by one of their own and they are really, really pissed.

With former Vice President Joe Biden on the brink of a humiliating setback after Joe Manchin announced that he would not vote to confirm the fierce partisan Neera Tanden as the head of the Office of Management and Budget, Dems are lashing out at the senator from West Virginia.

On Wednesday, House Democrat John Yarmuth of Kentucky went on CNN and decried Manchin, who is the last remaining moderate in a radicalized party that has broken with mainstream America as not being “representative of most of the country”.

Yarmuth, whose district is in Louisville, huffed that Manchin only represented a “largely rural” and “mineral-producing state” in yet another example of how much of America is viewed with contempt by Democrats.

Via Breitbart News:

“Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY), who represents the urban city of Louisville, shot arrows at Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) for not being “representative of most of the country” and lamented his influence as a crucial swing vote in the U.S. Senate.

Manchin has often been a deciding vote in the Senate on legislation and nominations, and the moderate senator holds even more sway with the Senate now split 50-50 between Republicans and Democrats.

Yarmuth said it is “unfortunate” Manchin wields so much power, and that he comes from a “largely rural” and “mineral-producing state” that “is not particularly representative of most of the country.”

The attack on Manchin and his blue color constituents is the latest example of the Democrat Party’s identity crisis.

The Democrats, once the party seen, at least in stereotype, as the home of lunch-pail, working-class union members in the Rust Belt, now are a party dominated by higher-educated, higher-income voters on the coasts.”

What Yarmuth really means is that Manchin has committed the ‘unforgivable sin’ by going against the party that demands lockstep unity from their members of Congress.

Manchin has also come out against the $15 an hour minimum wage that Dems are trying to stuff into the long-delayed COVID relief bill.

In addition to rejecting Tanden, Manchin has also infuriated the radical left by coming out against court-packing, an idea that gained momentum after now-former President Donald J. Trump was able to put three justices on the Supreme Court after the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg last fall.

The attacks on Manchin will continue to intensify with now being a check on their power in the Senate along with the elevated profile that his bucking of the party line has brought.
