WHOA: Byron York Declares Dems Making 'Structural' Effort to Remove Trump

In an appearance on Fox News Tuesday, Washington Examiner chief political correspondent Byron York noted that Democrats have been trying to remove President Donald Trump from office practically since he was inaugurated.

And though they’ve obviously been unsuccessful thus far, they’re not about to give up on the effort, he said, noting that if he wins reelection they are merely going to triple and quadruple down because they’re building a “structural” effort to get it done.

“This has been going on [for] two-and-a-half years since [Robert] Mueller's investigation, and a lot of Republicans really took note of that,” York, a Fox News contributor and author of the new book "Obsession," told host Neil Cavuto.

“They thought, 'Wait a minute, this impeachment, it's not really about Ukraine. It's not really about a phone call. It's a continuation of a long effort to remove the president from office.' And that's what we saw, and we still see it.”

He then described House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) recent refusal to rule out a second impeachment of the president in order to prevent him from naming his third Supreme Court nominee as "bizarre."

“They have already tried their constitutional remedy to remove a president – impeachment. And it didn't work,” he said. “The idea of using the remedy to sort of distract the Senate so they couldn't confirm a Supreme Court justice is really way out there.”

But so, too, is the aging Pelosi, who struggles more and more through interviews as time goes on.

Fox News adds:

York described such efforts as "structural," explaining that even though Special Counsel Robert Mueller failed to find collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, the Democrats moved forward with impeachment on the basis of his report.

And if the president were to be reelected, he added, the left would likely try to remove him from office again and again.

“When I talk to political observers who were around for the Bill Clinton impeachment, who were around for all of the anger at George W. Bush ... this seems to be more intense," York said. "It seems to be even angrier than it was then."

'Seems' to be?

"If he is reelected, it's hard to imagine that they'll say, ‘Well, gosh, I guess we need to get along now.’ I don't think that's going to happen.”

Yeah, neither do we. Of course, the president and his team will have to first ensure his victory, should it come, is not taken from him by Team Biden and his Army of Activist Lawyers who are planning to challenge ballot results where they can and, likely, ‘produce’ them where possible via mail-in ballot fraud.

That said, the only difference we see this year compared to four years ago is that people seem even less enthused about Joe Biden than they were about Hillary Clinton, the woman who dared not campaign in states she thought she had in the bag.

Wherever the president goes, the enthusiasm for him is off-the-charts; Biden, by comparison, can’t seem to draw flies when he feebly ventures out.

So we agree with York: A Trump victory will only embolden Democrats to continue their unhinged efforts to depose him (another reason why we can’t let them and Pelosi keep the House or take the Senate).
